Story
Meredith is a very special 2 yr old Yorkie. She came to us from a breeder/hoarder case after their house burned down. She was very pregnant and gave birth within 36 of coming into our care. It was clear right away that Meredith had never been socialized and didn’t trust people. She has never barked, growled, or shown teeth, instead she just does what she can to avoid human contact. Meredith, however, loves other dogs! She loves to wrestle, play tug-a-war and just run around crazy. She has now been with us for 3 months and just last night she finally felt safe enough to take a nap on the couch with her foster mom (more than an arms distance away). Meredith is looking for a very special home with another playful dog and no young kids. Meredith needs a family that knows she may always be a dogs dog and not a people dog. She may eventually warm up to people but it could take some time. Meredith is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, 90% crate trained and potty pad trained.

Story
Jace was found abandoned, and it seems he may be a possible relative of Jack. This little pup may be shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he will melt your heart with his undeniable sweetness and loving nature. Jace would greatly benefit from being in a home with another dog, Jace thrives on companionship and having a lead dog by his side will help him build confidence and feel secure. Despite his initial shyness, Jace is eager to please and has a strong desire to make his humans happy. He is a quick learner and is already making progress with crate and leash training. With patience, positive reinforcement, and love, Jace will continue to blossom and become an even more wonderful companion. If you're looking for a loyal and devoted furry family member, Jace would be the perfect addition to your home. He longs for a loving family who will provide him with the care, attention, and patience he deserves.

Story
Meet Teddy: The Adorable Pup in Need of a Forever Home! Teddy is a charming 3-5 month old puppy who has already faced more challenges than most pups his age. This tiny bundle of joy was surrendered to a high-kill animal shelter in Southern California along with his brother. Sadly, while his brother found a loving home, Teddy was left behind, facing an uncertain future. Fortunately, our rescue organization spotted a plea for help, as Teddy's life was at stake due to overcrowding at the shelter. Our dedicated volunteers rushed in to save him, and now he’s thriving in our care! Our vets believe Teddy is a delightful mix of Yorkshire Terrier and Mini Schnauzer, and he’s expected to remain a small breed pup. With his endearing personality, he has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone around him. Teddy adores having his cheeks rubbed and his ears scratched, and he expresses his gratitude with sweet, slobbery kisses. Teddy is a playful little guy who loves toys, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is great with children. His joyful spirit and loving nature make him the perfect addition to any family. Teddy is currently available for adoption, and we are happy to cover his neuter surgery at the Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic when he reaches 6 months of age. If you’re looking for a loving companion to brighten your days, Teddy is your boy! Don’t miss your chance to make this adorable pup a part of your family. Please send your inquiries to info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org and help us find Teddy the loving home he deserves!

Story
Breed: Maltese X DOB: 12/2012 Gender: female Altered: yes Coat: medium Size: small Color(s): white Description: Hi, I'm Lexi, a sweet senior Maltese X with a lovable personality and a sweet, gentle nature that will win over anyone's heart. I'm in need of a new home as sadly my owner can no longer care for me. I'm a friendly girl who quickly blended in with the other pups at my foster home. I'm even good with the tortoise! It's unknown how I'd do with cats, but I think I'm too sweet to have any cat-astrophes with them. It's also unknown how I would do with children. I'm house trained and know how to behave inside the home. I am very active for my age and would be the perfect companion for a nice walk around the park. I'm looking for a loving forever home where I can live out the rest of my life surrounded by love. I hope you'll open your heart and home to sweet adorable me. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an online application to set up a meet and greet.November 7, 2024, 11:05 am

Story
WOOF! I'M SCOTTY! I'm a 3-year-old Maltese in need of a new home! I was rescued from a California shelter - and I was a bit scared there. But now that I've been sprung, I have a new leash on life! I'm a happy boy, always curious as to what's going on around me. I get along well with other dogs in my foster home. I would do best in an adult-only home or with a family with older kids. I weigh 12 lbs. Please email for an application.
