PLEASE READ ALL ABOUT ME! My foster mom has gotten a lot of applications that do not align with my super active personality. I am a crazy puppy that needs lots of walking and training! I am a sweet, loving and energetic pup! My motto is “sleep hard, play harder” and I will never turn down a game of fetch! I’m a chatty girly and my grumbles crack my foster family up. I LOVE to run and really need a fenced yard to safely do so. I really hope my new family enjoys walks or runs with me, too! I came to my foster family when my original owner urgently needed a safe place for me to go. I was a little sad at first but quickly warmed up to my foster mom - even though now the kids who give me my treats are my favorite people. My foster fam has really enjoyed having me the past few months, but the resident pup here (a grumpy old lady) tells me I’ve overstayed my visit. I’m hoping to find an active family who will get me spayed and keep me forever! And soon!!

Ben is about 3 yrs old. He weighs 10 lbs. Ben is as you can tell has one eye. Ben is a sweet boy but your typical yorkie. He is loving and sweet but can be stubborn. He can be bossy. He does not like his nails clipped or hair. But he does let me do it. He would probably need muzzled at a groomer at first. When you meet Ben he is a total love bug. Loves cuddles, attention etc. He seems to just want his person and to trust someone. If I had to guess I’d say someone might have hurt him before. Call 530-777-8550

Chewy is a delightful companion! With his charming personality and loving nature, he seems perfect for anyone looking to add a furry friend to their life. He is a handsome 6-year-old, 12-pound, and is Yorkie mix with a Wookie face! His front teeth are missing we think that he was kenneled for long periods and tried to chew out. He is gold and tan in color. His fluffy coat will indeed need regular grooming. It's wonderful to hear that he’s learning to adapt to a potty routine and that he enjoys his walks and car rides. If you’re looking for a cuddly partner to share your home with, Chewy is ready to be right by your side. ! He is loving and affectionate and doesn’t know the word stranger! He will need to be kept on a regular potty routine to develop good habits. He is learning to use the doggy door. Chewy is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. With his affectionate demeanor and friendly disposition, he’ll surely make a great addition to any household.        Meet Maya Blue!   This 5 lb, 8-year-old Yorkie mix is a sassy little soul who came to us from Contra Costa Animal Services. We can’t wait to share her journey with you!   &#226&#156&#168 It’s Maya’s world, and she occasionally lets us in. She thrives in her familiar spaces and is a little spicy when it comes to human interaction. Not a fan of most touches, she’ll show her sass with alligator rolls and playful hops if picked up. But don’t worry—her “bites” are toothless and gentle!   Maya loves to explore (sometimes in circles), nap, and enjoy her meals. When she does allow you in, she’ll give you those sweet, brief kisses and the occasional ear rub.   She’s not a fan of crates and prefers her own cozy enclosed space at night. While she uses potty pads when needed, she’s still learning her potty training, especially outside her comfort zone.   Due to her aversion to being touched, Maya would do best in a quiet home without children. She’s not keen on harnesses either, so outdoor adventures will need to wait until she’s more comfortable.   Stay tuned for updates as Maya Blue gets closer to finding her forever home. We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving either 12/5/24 or 12/7/24 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Jonah to our trip for the right home 💙 Meet Jonah 💙 He turns 2 on December 15th 2024. He is a poodle/Maltese mix weighing in right under 13 lbs. Yes, he is full grown and at a very healthy weight ☺️ He is neutered, current on all vaccines, and microchipped 🙂 He is house trained, and goes outside to use the restroom as needed throughout the day when asked to. If he doesn't need to go, he simply will stay back when you ask him. He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night only. Throughout the day he has free roam of our home as he has great house manners, and is extremely well behaved. He would transition beautifully to a dog bed in your room, or even in your bed if you are looking for a sweet boy to cuddle with. He is very easy going so no matter the sleeping arrangements, he will sleep peacefully 🙂 He is leash trained, and does very well on walks. He enjoys strolls around the neighborhood any chance he gets, and will definitely give you a reason to get your steps in and enjoy every single one of them 😉 He is wonderful with every single dog he has ever met, and had a few cat friends in his prior home too that he equally loved. He has one of the most calm, loving, kind, and affectionate personalities that you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. He truly loves with his entire heart and you'll feel it from the moment you meet him ♥️ He loves to be around peoples and really thrives on having his humans around him. No matter what you are doing whether you are watching TV, working on your computer, or cooking in the kitchen he is always near by either napping, or lounging. He is NOT a barker, and is very quiet all around! He is not high energy whatsoever; and would really just love the companionship of a human all his own to share his days with 🙂 He is wonderful at the groomers, and really enjoys his spa days. He is phenomenal at traveling so if you take any road trips at all, no matter the distance he will happily join you for ever venture. Don't pass by this amazingly beautiful boy, and let him show you just how powerful LOVE ❤️ is 💕 His prior owner couldn't keep him any longer, due to major medical issues she was facing that kept her in and out of the hospital leaving Jonah home alone a lot, with the exception of her dear friend that would come and care for him and keep him company when she could. She knew that this was no life for him, and called us to take him in and find him the home he deserved once again 💙 His Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/Jonah . It covers his vet costs, the care associated with the time he has been with us, and his training we have personally done. Pending where you are located, and if you need us to transport him to you (which we will happily do) travel costs are in addition from his adoption fee.
