Story
Luna and Gracie were purchased directly from their vet/breeder in 2015 They are liter mates. I did not spay them because I had dreams of having puppies, but never felt comfortable enough to follow through. The sisters have always had a bit of sibling rivalry but we learned to ignore them when they fought and eventually it became something that happened only a few times a year. Recently, the aggression has become daily. I don't know why it has escalated. My daughter is off to college and I work full time. The routines have been the same. However, the dogs have begun fighting almost every single time I let them go outside. One dog will be waiting at the sliding glass door while I unlock it. When the second dog arrives, the first one begins to fight. The fighting is also becoming more vicious - drawing blood. I think the best thing is to find a home for Luna. She is a lap dog and will be great company to someone who is home often. NO cats and no small children.

Story
We adopted Juju in June of 2023 when he was 3-4 years old. We jokingly call him a “jumbo yorkie” as he weighs about 13lbs. He loves giving kisses and absolutely adores young children. He loves playing catch and running around the yard. He has difficulty being in his crate and is not potty trained but not to lack of training. Unfortunately, we have to move over seas and believe the trip would be too rough for him and think it’s best for his well being we find him a home where he has a lot of attention, love and patience.

Story
Floki is a playful and very sweet dog. He loves to play catch and chase. I wish I could keep him but I cannot provide him the amount of attention he deserves since I just had a baby and he takes most of my time.

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 2/21/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Missy to our trip for the right home 💕 Meet Missy. She is a 3.5 year old toy yorkie. She weighs 4.4 lbs. Yes, she is full grown and at a very healthy weight. She is set to be spayed on 2/11/25. She will also have a dental cleaning done, have her vaccines administered, be microchipped, and have anything else done that my vet recommends to be done at time of spay. She loves to go outside to use the restroom, but due to her very small size she is always accompanied so outside potty time is offered throughout the day. She is also pad trained so that she always has access to be able to use the restroom without having to wait for us. She is crate trained, and will sleep in a crate at night or while you step out of the home if needed. She is very well behaved in the home, and has learned to use a ramp to get on and off the beds so if you aren't using a crate; she will simply walk herself up to your bed and nap there til you return home. She is leash trained, and while walks tend to be short with her she does love them! She will let you know when it's time to be carried, and being so tiny we happily oblige every time so she can enjoy the rest of her walks snuggled in arms 💕 She is wonderful with all dogs and cats alike. She has a very submissive temperament so if you have another animal in the home it's best if they are docile, and respectful of her small stature. She isn't a dog to play with other animals, and is completely fine being the only princess in her home as she is very content being your sole focus 🥰 She is AMAZING with men, women, and children alike. She is NOT high energy whatsoever and is very calm natured, serene tempered, and very zen ❤️ She is NOT a barker at all, and the only time you'll hear her voice is when she sees you again after being gone for any amount of time and it's always out of excitement that you are back which ultimately requires snuggles to make up for any lost time 😊 She is an amazing traveler; and will travel the world with you whether by car, or plane. She is happy just being along for the ride however that may look! She is EASY to please and even EASIER to love. She is all things you look for in a tiny little friend; and will make an exceptional companion to someone looking to enjoy life with ♥️ She loves her spa days; and is always extra happy to see her favorite groomer 😁 but is even happier when we walk back through the door . She definitely soaks up all the extra attention and is happy to hear your voice tell her how pretty she is over and over again 🥰🥰 She has an incredible temperament, has a beautiful heart; and her excitement to be in the presence of her humans makes anyone smile. She is absolutely the most precious little one here, and we are excited to find her someone that will love her the way she deserves to be loved ❤️❤️❤️ Her adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption fee at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/missy Her adoption fee is on our higher end. Shortly after she first came to us she had to be hospitalized overnight hooked up to IVs due to being extremely dehydrated and weak. Being so small it's so crucial she receives proper nutrition, and that's something she will never have to worry about again. We had blood work, and x rays done, which all came back great. She is completely on the mend, and is ready for next part of her journey home to begin ❤️ Her adoption fee will not only help cover the costs involved with the above, but it will also help cover her spay, vaccines, dental cleaning (and possible extractions,) microchip/registration, and anything else my vet recommends to have done! She will be completely vetted and cleared by our vet prior to adoption. And as always, our adoption fees typically go back into the care involved in the time she has been with us, her grooming costs, and training we personally do but with her vetting soaking up all of what we are asking consider the rest on us 💕 She is a gem, and one you want to have in your life; so if you are able to open your heart and home to this beautiful little Angel please help us make her happily ever after come true for her ❤️

Story
My name is Zoe Grace. I’m 7 years old and weigh 14 pounds. I'm an adorable Yorkie/Whippet/Terrier mix I was adopted from AFC when I was a puppy. Sadly, my family became ill and couldn’t take care of me anymore. I miss them and would love a new family to love me. I like peanut butter, pumpkin treats and squeaky toys. The duck ones are my favorite…They squeak extra loud! I love walks, cuddles and agility courses. I loves being petted especially on my ears and rump. If you hide treats in a rolled up towel, I will dig them out. I love being warm by a heater or fireplace and sunbathing. I love car rides…Let’s go out on an adventure! I love to sleep on the sofa and snuggle in your bed at night? I’m housebroken I dislike loud noises like fireworks thunder and smoke alarms. I don’t like being alone, shut doors or crates. I am not crazy about being groomed and getting my nails cut but let’s find the right groomer, to keep me looking my best. I’m pretty perfect but I will dash out the door, if given a chance. I will dig in the dirt, if you leave me outside. So let’s make a deal: Keep me safely by your side! Did I tell you how smart I am? I can jump pretty high, I sit and lay down on command. My nicknames are Wiggles, Zoey bah Boey and Zo Zo. You can give me some new ones? I’m a gentle girl who wants to love and be loved! I hope you are ready for me! I am ready for you and I promise to give you all my love! We have a Facebook page and hope that you will “Like” us at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561870361467 see postings of our dogs. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
