Story

Rosie's story is a bit tragic and complicated. Not very long ago, Rosie suffered a traumatic event to her head which left her blind and with the difficulty of being able to walk straight (RESOLVED), find her food or water (RESOLVED), and ultimately survive without very special help (RESOLVED). She was taken to the emergency hospital severely dehydrated, comatose, and near death. Her owners, who loved her very much, were unable to afford care and thus without treatment Rosie would have been euthanized. Seeing that Rosie has so much to do and so much love to receive and give, one of the emergency technicians on staff requested she be surrendered to the hospital where the technician could provide financial support, treatment, and rehabilitation to Rosie. Rosie fought hard and long for her recovery, and she won 🙂 Rosie is now rehabilitated and independent! Rosie's last challenge is to find her forever home :)

Please meet Augie. He is such a calm, sweet guy. He NEEDS a home. He is so gentle that he just doesn't do well in a rescue situation. It can be a foster home or a forever home. But a home he needs! He has gained some weight in rescue but with regular walks and outings, I am sure he will get back to a good weight. He does well with other dogs but he prefers to just stay out of trouble and clear of hoopla! I just know he would LOVE to have someone to spend time with him. Doesn't need much...just some love. This is our sweet Jessy. She has been with us for a while because she is old and almost blind. Even though she is adorable, we know she doesn't have the best figure or eyesight. But to us, at the rescue, she has the BEST personality. She is always in the middle of everything, enjoying herself and asking for attention and love. Basically, hope in the form of a dog!!!! She knows her way around the entire rescue facility...stairs and all! We all want her to have a home...foster or adoption. We believe she will get to know your home because her spirit will force her too!!!! But probably best to not have too many stairs. Sirty is 9 years old. He gets along with my three and five year-old grandchildren. He has been around other dogs. He has never bitten anybody or attacked anybody. He likes to bark at the mailman and go on walks. He has itchy skin, so I bathe him often and he takes apoquil, for skin itching. We have had him since he was five weeks old and I love him very much. My spouse has respiratory difficulties now and the dog makes them worse so we need to rehome him. He is a loving lap dog
