He was not available to the general public due to his extreme fear of people. He would have not made it out alive if Paw Parent wouldn't have rescued him.He was more or less immediately in love with one of our helpers, but very afraid of all of us others. It took a long time before he allowed the rest of us to pet him. But once he trusted us his sweet, cute and gentle self started to shine. He is very affectionate and loves belly rubs. He's great with all the dogs he is with and turned out the be a happy go luck y little guy. But he is still very suspicious of strangers and needs time to warm up and trust. Anyone interested in him needs to move very slowly to gain his trust. Believe me though once you got it you won't regret it!He weighs about 13 pounds and his age is guessed at 4 years. She was rescued from a horrible shelter where she had one more hour left to spare. She was overlooked at the shelter and barely had a chance. Now that she is out of the shelter, we can see that Phyllis is a super fun and sweet girl! We brought her to the vet and she was a big hit and received a clean bill of health. Phyllis is an active girl and would love an owner who is busy and loves to walk or even hike. She is a great companion and loves to be by your side. She is mid to high energy and is great with dogs and all people! Meredith is a very special 2 yr old Yorkie. She came to us from a breeder/hoarder case after their house burned down. She was very pregnant and gave birth within 36 of coming into our care. It was clear right away that Meredith had never been socialized and didn’t trust people. She has never barked, growled, or shown teeth, instead she just does what she can to avoid human contact. Meredith, however, loves other dogs! She loves to wrestle, play tug-a-war and just run around crazy. She has now been with us for 3 months and just last night she finally felt safe enough to take a nap on the couch with her foster mom (more than an arms distance away). Meredith is looking for a very special home with another playful dog and no young kids. Meredith needs a family that knows she may always be a dogs dog and not a people dog. She may eventually warm up to people but it could take some time. Meredith is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, 90% crate trained and potty pad trained.

She was and still is very shy around people and takes her time to get to know you. When in the play yard with her friends she comes to sniff my hand when I am petting the other dogs, but she won't let me pet her there. The only place she allows me to pet her and where she really enjoys it is in her kennel when I am sitting down with her. She will need someone with patience and understanding of her shy nature. She is very sweet and loves to play with her friends and would do well in a house with other dogs.She is about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
