Story
Please contact Isabell (pawparent@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Tazz came from the Palmdale shelter where he was brought in as a stray. He was not available to the general public due to his extreme fear of people. He would have not made it out alive if Paw Parent wouldn't have rescued him.He was more or less immediately in love with one of our helpers, but very afraid of all of us others. It took a long time before he allowed the rest of us to pet him. But once he trusted us his sweet, cute and gentle self started to shine. He is very affectionate and loves belly rubs. He's great with all the dogs he is with and turned out the be a happy go luck y little guy. But he is still very suspicious of strangers and needs time to warm up and trust. Anyone interested in him needs to move very slowly to gain his trust. Believe me though once you got it you won't regret it!He weighs about 13 pounds and his age is guessed at 4 years. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please call 661-724-0642 or email us at pawparent@gmail.com if you would like to meet him.November 6, 2024, 5:40 pm

Story
Meredith is a very special 2 yr old Yorkie. She came to us from a breeder/hoarder case after their house burned down. She was very pregnant and gave birth within 36 of coming into our care. It was clear right away that Meredith had never been socialized and didn’t trust people. She has never barked, growled, or shown teeth, instead she just does what she can to avoid human contact. Meredith, however, loves other dogs! She loves to wrestle, play tug-a-war and just run around crazy. She has now been with us for 3 months and just last night she finally felt safe enough to take a nap on the couch with her foster mom (more than an arms distance away). Meredith is looking for a very special home with another playful dog and no young kids. Meredith needs a family that knows she may always be a dogs dog and not a people dog. She may eventually warm up to people but it could take some time. Meredith is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, 90% crate trained and potty pad trained.

Story
Meet Teddy: The Adorable Pup in Need of a Forever Home! Teddy is a charming 3-5 month old puppy who has already faced more challenges than most pups his age. This tiny bundle of joy was surrendered to a high-kill animal shelter in Southern California along with his brother. Sadly, while his brother found a loving home, Teddy was left behind, facing an uncertain future. Fortunately, our rescue organization spotted a plea for help, as Teddy's life was at stake due to overcrowding at the shelter. Our dedicated volunteers rushed in to save him, and now he’s thriving in our care! Our vets believe Teddy is a delightful mix of Yorkshire Terrier and Mini Schnauzer, and he’s expected to remain a small breed pup. With his endearing personality, he has quickly stolen the hearts of everyone around him. Teddy adores having his cheeks rubbed and his ears scratched, and he expresses his gratitude with sweet, slobbery kisses. Teddy is a playful little guy who loves toys, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is great with children. His joyful spirit and loving nature make him the perfect addition to any family. Teddy is currently available for adoption, and we are happy to cover his neuter surgery at the Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic when he reaches 6 months of age. If you’re looking for a loving companion to brighten your days, Teddy is your boy! Don’t miss your chance to make this adorable pup a part of your family. Please send your inquiries to info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org and help us find Teddy the loving home he deserves!

Story
Meet 10 year old, 10 pound sweet, mellow Barley. A Yorkshire Terrier who was found as a stray in awful, awful condition. He would be a wonderful addition to any home; however; if a person wants a dog good for long hikes, he might not be the ideal dog. He would be the ideal dog for a couch potato type person! The Yorkie personality definitely comes out at mealtime, meaning he has little patience if his food is not given to him as quickly as he wants it! Barley is potty trained, sleeps beautifully through the night, walks nicely on a leash, is a good car passenger, gets on just fine with cats, other dogs, adults and kids. He loves to be near his Foster human but is not overly needy. We all think he is absolutely adorable. He does bark sometimes when his Foster Mom is gone so no apartment living for this little guy! Barley is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in him please complete the application on our website: www.adoptmerescue.org. LOCAL AREA ADOPTION ONLY

Story
Please contact Isabell (pawparent@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.Little Minnie came to Paw Parent from Delano where she was found abandoned in an orchard. She was and still is very shy around people and takes her time to get to know you. When in the play yard with her friends she comes to sniff my hand when I am petting the other dogs, but she won't let me pet her there. The only place she allows me to pet her and where she really enjoys it is in her kennel when I am sitting down with her. She will need someone with patience and understanding of her shy nature. She is very sweet and loves to play with her friends and would do well in a house with other dogs. She is about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Please call us at 661-724-0642 to email us at pawparent@gmail.com if you would like to meet her.November 4, 2024, 4:07 pm
