BIRDIE-Sponsorship needed IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more. We are deeply grateful for help. To meet us, help us, or if you know people or businesses who would like to, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal Giving email address for donation and sponsorship). Mailing: The Nature Network Inc., 3826 Grand View Blvd., #66790, Los Angeles, CA 90066. 100% of all funds are used for our rescued animals. Our Board members and our president and founder are all volunteers. Our veterinary references are available upon request. BIRDIE is a senior special-needs little girl who is now Sponsorship only, and requires special food and care. She has a constantly recurring growth, she is now 12 going on 13 years old, she has a funny little cough when she gets excited which we also need to examine just in case there is a tracheal issue. She will need careful surgery to remove the growth, and at the same time serious teeth scaling (including just beneath the gum line, and always the possibility of removal of any tooth that is beyond help). She is highly intelligent, but because of age, no longer a good adoption prospect, so will get to stay with us for the rest of her years. We do this with many pups who are no longer adoptable, a labor of love :o) But unfortunately this brings on many increasingly large veterinary costs, to keep them healthy and to deal with any treatable issues they may encounter. Birdie is most likely a combination of Yorkshire Terrier and Chinese Crested with maybe a little Papillion thrown in. She is ten pounds. She was rescued from an unsafe situation and has bonded with Alice, another special-needs senior rescue girl pup at our place. The other older senior would not do well without Birdie and they keep each other happy, while receiving the specialized care they need. Birdie has been spayed, is current on everything, receiving every kind of veterinary care she needs. For more information about Birdie contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal donation and sponsorship email)

Hi I'm twinky. nice to meet you. i'm a 13 year old yorkie who was dropped off at a shelter by my previous owner in rough shape. i am overweight but working on losing it thanks to my wonderful foster. i don't bark b/c my previous owner removed my vocal chords. i also have a collapsing trachea so i need to wear a harness, take medication and live a calm and quiet life. I am darling and kind and enjoy the company of humans and dogs *would probably be fine with cats too. I can be shy but that is less so the more comfortable i get. I have a good appetite and i am house broken. i can't wait to meet you please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org

Story
Penny is a very sweet senior girl who will be 13 on June 22nd. She weighs 7.8 lbs. She was surrendered to a shelter by her owners because she needed medical care. She is spayed, vaccinated and has had full blood work. She also had a dental, and only has one remaining tooth, a canine. Penny would be best as an only dog and is good with older kids. Penny is potty trained in her environment. Either outside or on potty pads. Penny just wants to be with her person and loves going with you, riding in her booster seat in the car, in her stroller or at your side in a sling. Penny is somewhat a Mama’s girl and makes a great companion dog. She likes to cuddle in bed and hang out with you on the sofa. Penny would love a forever home of her very own. She has arthritis in her hind legs but gets around just fine. Penny has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) and requires an enzyme powder to be added to her food in order for her body to digest its nutrients. If you are interested in Penny, please go to www.yorkierescueofamerica.org and fill out an adoption application. Penny is located in Los Angeles, CA. Penny’s adoption fee is $300.00
