Jill (A137255) 11-year-old Yorkie/Cairn Terrier mix that weighed 5lbs at intake! 01/21/25 This sweet older pup is Jill, or Jilly! Jilly was surrendered to the shelter with her sister, Delilah, due to no fault of their own. Unfortunately, there was not much information given about their past behavior, but both dogs were said to be very sweet with people and also enjoy the company of each other. We are not requiring that they be bonded, as they have lived most of their lives apart until recently. They were also said to be housebroken, but recently, the previous owner was unable to keep them to a consistent schedule and both dogs were having accidents inside. But the previous owner felt that if they were put back on a schedule that both dogs would revert back to their impeccable potty habits. They have been using their potty pads reliably while at the shelter, especially suring the cold snap. It is unknown how these two would react to other dogs, pets or children, so please be performing those introductions in a slow, safe and controlled manner. Jill was sent out for a dental courtesy of our amazing shelter fund and had one tooth extracted, so she will need soaked or wet food until 2/11/25.
