PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - PEANUT BREED - Yorkie Poo (Yorkie/Poodle mix) SIZE - About 9 pounds AGE - 10 years GENDER - Female MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Peanut is a precious little girl that will be a treasure for a lucky adopter! Not only is she adorable, but she is super sweet, loves to cuddle and is generally quiet as a mouse. In truth she is a perfect little sweetheart that would be happy beside her special person enjoying a quiet life. Peanut came to us from a shelter in central NC. The shelter told us she was 15-16, deaf, blind and MALE. Upon arrival and visiting with our vet, we learned SHE was not a male, could see, hear and was likely closer to 10 years old. This little gal's activity level and playfulness tells us our vet was right on target and that Peanut has a great deal of life ahead of her! Fully grown at just 9 pounds (although a bit on the lean side), she is a perfect size for most homes! She is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with her. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard will be required. She will make a wonderful companion for a senior person who is able to care for her independently. Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Peanut and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Peanut at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting her and determining that she matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
