Story
We got Soka nearly 6 years ago from a nice lady who had trouble selling her since she had a scratch on her eye. We didn’t care because we fell in love with the very few puppy pictures we had of her :) She had been such a blessing in our lives! She is very high energy and the need for multiple walks and play sessions actually jump started my journey of getting back in shape. She is very smart and learned all of her tricks and ability to wait within a day of them being shown to her. She knows how to use a pad or ask to go outside for potty training. She even plays all by herself if everyone is busy by throwing her own toys and running after them lol We’re looking for a family that has a big back yard (normal sized really because she is so small, only 5 pounds lol) and doesn’t mind some yapping and consistent walking or running around to see how everyone is doing. She is very smart and with a little professional training I’m sure she could learn to have a better inside voice.

Story
Quasar is a gentle 4‑year‑old little guy weighing just 8 pounds, and he’s still looking for a family to call his own. His adoption fee is $400. He came to us as a stray—thin, completely matted, and clearly in need of care. Now that he’s been cleaned up, fed, and shown some love, his sweet personality shines through. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs here and truly enjoys his time outside. Even after a rough start, he remains a kind, affectionate boy who just wants to feel safe and loved. With a bit more weight on him and a family to cherish him, he’s going to blossom even more.Because we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we aren’t able to guarantee whether they are housebroken.Upon intake, every animal receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipAll age-appropriate vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea, tick, and heartworm preventionA complimentary wellness exam 7–10 days after adoptionPlease note that adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility. If you’d like to meet Quasar or have any questions, I’d be happy to help. He’s a tenderhearted little dog who deserves a soft place to land. 🐾✨

Story
Meet FredFred didn’t expect to be starting over.At ~5 years old, this sweet little terrier mix came to us alongside his buddy Dingo after their owner entered hospice care. Since then, Fred’s been trying to make sense of a world that suddenly feels very different. He’s a little shy right now—and honestly, who wouldn’t be? But give him a minute (and maybe a soft voice and a gentle hand), and you’ll start to see the real Fred peek through.*Quiet, gentle, and incredibly sweet*Slowly gaining confidence every day*Would love a calm home where he can settle in at his own pace*Big fan of cozy spots and kind humansFred doesn’t need much—just patience, love, and someone willing to let him come out of his shell in his own time.If you’ve got a soft spot for the shy ones, Fred is waiting for you.Come meet him—and be the reason he feels safe again. Fred will be available for adoption at our Adoption Event at Bark in the Park this Saturday from 9am - 12pm at Sonora Park in Kennedale!
