The adoption fee for both dogs is $300.00. On Saturday April 18th I picked up Swagger and Sashay from their owner who surrendered them in Scranton PA. They have been with me just shy of a week so far, and they are doing well, aside from the need for a dental cleaning & to put some weight on. Hi there! My name is Swagger and I can't wait to tell you about myself. First and foremost, I am part of a team. My sister Sashay and I are basically inseparable—but in a “we share a brain cell and a nap schedule” kind of way. We’ve been together for 12 years, and hey, when you have a good thing going, you don’t mess with it… unless there are snacks involved. My mom had to surrender us because of health issues, and while that was a big change, we handled it like pros (with only minimal dramatic sighing). After barely leaving the house for a decade, we suddenly became world travelers—zooming from Pennsylvania to our foster home in Camillus, NY in one day. I was basically a celebrity in the car. My foster mom gave me a doggie car seat, which I treated like front-row tickets to the greatest show on Earth: Outside. Trees! Cars! Mysterious squirrels! I watched it all… until I passed out like the tiny adventurer I am. When we got to our new home, I met Sophie and Sammy, and let me tell you—we are now a certified squad. I love following them around like their slightly smaller, slightly more handsome shadow. I get along great with dogs, though I’m still not entirely convinced cats aren’t some kind of confusing, judgmental furniture. I like to keep my social circle exclusive—VIP access for small dogs only, please. I sleep through the night (because beauty rest is important), and I do my business outside like a true gentleman. My foster mom is constantly amazed that I can go on command. I let her be impressed—it’s important to keep humans entertained. This past week I leveled up and learned how to go on long leash walks. My mom keeps saying, “Good boy Swagger you are sooo smart!” I just smile politely… because obviously. And now, the part you’ve all been waiting for… I don’t bark. Yep, you read that right. 99% of the time, I am a quiet, refined little guy. The other 1%? That’s reserved for high-energy playtime with Sophie and Sammy, just to let Mom know the party has officially started. I’m a gentleman, a cuddle expert, and a professional TV-watching lap companion. At the end of the day, nothing beats snuggling up with my sister in our cozy bed. Basically—and I say this with complete objectivity—I am the most perfect dog ever.
