Meet brave little Owen! He is a 4 yr old, 7 lb mini poodle who came from a breeding situation. He has not know much love and is now trying so hard to trust the people!  Owen loves other dogs and would like to have a dog friend in his new home. He has learned so much from his foster brothers and does great following the “pack” outside to potty!  Owen is not a fan of leashes so going on walks is going to have to be learned. He has a big fenced yard that he loves running around in and has only had a couple accidents here and there but is getting better at letting us know he has to got out. He’s eager to please, will normally come back in the house when called, unless the neighbor dogs are out then he wants to run the fence line.   Owen has the potential to be an amazing dog. He will need a patient adopter. He is still afraid of getting touched. He isn’t as scared as he was and will watch as the other dogs come for pets . He gets closer and braver every day. With time he will be a cuddler but it might be a while! Owen likes kids better than big adults! He likes to follow them around and is very curious  about what they do!   He is not food aggressive and likes to bowl surf so he may need to be reminded to eat his own food!  He is still learning about toys and has picked up a couple to try.  Owen likes to sleep in bed with us but will hop in his dog bed with no problem too! We don’t kennel him when we are gone and he has done just fine. He did use his kennel when  He first came as a quiet spot to hide and now just likes his dog bed!   Owen likes to howl! So maybe no shared walls! He will stop if you ask him to but if you’re not around he will let one go!  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Age: DOB 3/6/24 Weight: 8.5 pounds Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older considerate kids only Potty trained: Very close, but still has a few accidents Crate trained: Does well left out in the house Irving is a very sweet little toy poodle; Irving is about 18mo old and weights about 8.5lbs. He is neutered, fully vaccinated and has good teeth. He is very shy when you first meet him and will take time to warm up but when he does look out. Irving will need a fenced in yard as he may run and is very shy. He loves to play with toys, people and other dogs. He uses a puppy door to go outside to potty and loves the outside sometimes he doesn't like to come back in unless you go out and get him. Irving is smart, funny and has a foot fetish. He will catch them when you put them up on something and then lets them go. Also, likes to nibble at your ears, neck or your hair but will not bite or hurt you. Irving would be good with shared walls as he rarely barks. He likes to sleep in bed with me and his doggie friends and likes to nap in a puppy bed. Adoption fee: $695
