Story
Meet Blizzard! Blizzard is an approximately four-year-old male Poodle mix, available for adoption. Blizzard was found with another dog (who has been adopted) as a stray, matted and dirty. Attempts to locate an owner were unsuccessful, so Blizzard is officially ready to find his forever family. Blizzard is a vocal and silly dog, full of energy. People are fine, in that they throw the toy for you. ;-) Blizzard's great love in life isn't pets or attention though, it's TOYS! Blizzard will choose his toy for the day (he likes to have a variety, please), then it's off and running to chase, fetch, repeat! Blizzard can go and go and will finally get tired around the 30th throw or so. He has lots of energy and would love to be your adventure-buddy! Blizzard is working on his leash-training and has gotten better during his time at rescue. He would appreciate a family that will continue working on his leash training, teach him some basic commands (he knows "sit" for his toy, most of the time), and help with potty-training. Blizzard also shows issues with sharing his food and should be fed separate from any other dogs in the house. He would do best in an adult-only home, or a home with older children. He does fine with other dogs who are polite about sharing toys with him. As a stray, we don't know what Blizzard's past was, so he is a blank slate, waiting for you to help him write his story. <3 Blizzard is vocal and makes all kinds of goofy growly noises while he's playing. That's just his way of talking though, and it's pretty darn cute! Come see what Blizzard has to say to YOU! Email chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment. Blizzard's adoption fee includes neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date including Rabies, and microchip.January 31, 2025, 7:38 pm

Story
Chi Town Rescue has adoptable puppies! We took in mama Skittles and her eight pups, a few days after they were born (Oct. 1, 2024). All the females have been adopted, but three male puppies are still looking for forever families. We did DNA test the puppies and they are a mix of 17 breeds, the most prevalent being Poodle (30%), Chihuahua (29%) and Shih-Tzu and Min-Pin (5%). The male puppies range in size from five-pounds to nine-pounds and we have two all-white and two with a cream color on top of the white. The puppies are adorable little fluff balls, full of cuddles, kisses, and mischief! Puppies are FUN, but please make sure you are ready for the commitment of adopting a young dog. Puppies become adult dogs and are meant to be loved for their whole life, not just until they grow up. Puppies will need lots of patience to help them learn their best doggy manners, leash-training, and house-training. Adoption fees are $500 per puppy and include vaccinations, microchip, and eventual spay/neuter surgery at the PAWS clinic on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Per our vet, we do not alter puppies until around five months, which helps with hormone development and bone growth. Adopters will sign a contract that you will bring the puppies to the PAWS clinic for spay/neuter surgery, sometime in March 2025. Email us at chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet appointment!January 31, 2025, 8:00 pm
