Story
If you would like more information about Professor X or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to mhussey91@gmail.com or contact this number, 505-681-1161 Hey there, I’m Professor X, but you can call me PX for short. I’m not just your average pup – I’m a Xolo/husky mix with a brown brindle coat that makes heads turn wherever I go. At 1.5 years young and weighing in at a solid 47 lbs, I’m the perfect blend of energy and snuggles. I am a bit skittish around new people but with the right approach and plenty of tasty treats, I’m learning to strut my stuff like the confident pup I know I can be. When I’m not out exploring the world, you can usually find me lounging on the couch, soaking up all the cuddles and belly rubs I can get. Oh, and did I mention I’m a pro at fetch? Seriously, throw a ball my way, and I’ll fetch it like nobody’s business. I’ve been hitting up doggy daycare since I was a wee pup, and let me tell you, I’m kind of a big deal there. The staff love me, and I love them right back. So what do you say? Story
Duke wandered up to a Texaco truck stop terminal in downtown Houston. He had significant bite wounds on the left side and the top of his neck. It looked like perhaps a big dog had grabbed him. He was not wearing a collar and ID tag and he did not have a microchip. Duke came to Emmy's Hope Rescue in June 2020. Duke is sweet, happy-go-lucky and affectionate with people he knows.  He is very hesitant and untrusting of dogs he doesn’t know. He prefers small, female dogs and tends to get defensive with males, particularly if they are big. After he warms up, and feels comfortable, he's ready to run and play. Duke is very curious and has a high energy level. Duke does best with a familiar daily routine, so he knows what to expect. He needs a family that’s experienced with nervous, energetic dogs.                                                                                                                        Estimated birth date:  June 2019 Approximate weight:  11 lbs. If you would like to meet Duke, please call or text Stephanie at: 281-622-6549. *** ADOPTION  CRITERIA *** To qualify to adopt from Emmy's Hope Rescue, YOU MUST HAVE ALL 4 QUALIFIERS: 1. Live in the Houston area (no more than an hour's drive away). 2. Be 21 years or older. 3. Have a fenced yard. Fencing must touch the ground all the way around the yard. 4. We are looking for experienced pet owners. You must have at least 3 years of good vet history, with your current and / or past dogs. Your vet record should show that you take your dog(s) to the vet annually for an exam and to update their Rabies and DHPP (distemper, parvo) vaccinations and heartworm testing, and that you purchase a monthly heartworm preventative.November 2, 2024, 10:51 pm

Story
These two best pals have been waiting patiently at our rescue for 3 long years. They may be seniors, but still have so much love and joy to offer their future family. Quirky may have a bit of a “quirky” personality, but that's just part of her charm. They both are quick when it comes to making friends. They enjoy their independence and love to spend their days lounging, but also appreciate a good sniff outside. Their activity level is on the chill side, making them the perfect couch potato companions. This adorable little duo would thrive in a calm and quiet home with adults who understand their unique personality. They may not be the most outgoing pups, but they have a clever and easygoing nature that will surely win you over.To meet me, please fill out an adoption application on https://www.hartrescue.com/adoption-process
