If you would like more information about Professor X or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to mhussey91@gmail.com or contact this number, 505-681-1161 Hey there, I’m Professor X, but you can call me PX for short. I’m not just your average pup – I’m a Xolo/husky mix with a brown brindle coat that makes heads turn wherever I go. At 1.5 years young and weighing in at a solid 47 lbs, I’m the perfect blend of energy and snuggles. I am a bit skittish around new people but with the right approach and plenty of tasty treats, I’m learning to strut my stuff like the confident pup I know I can be. When I’m not out exploring the world, you can usually find me lounging on the couch, soaking up all the cuddles and belly rubs I can get. Oh, and did I mention I’m a pro at fetch? Seriously, throw a ball my way, and I’ll fetch it like nobody’s business. I’ve been hitting up doggy daycare since I was a wee pup, and let me tell you, I’m kind of a big deal there. The staff love me, and I love them right back. So what do you say? Story
Est. DOB: 4/1/2023, male, neutered, chipped, currently 13 lbs, chi mix BenTen is a small chihuahua mix who is passive, loves human contact, and is motivated to please his human. He gets along well with other dogs, but will give a low growl if a large dog comes too close. When his human is away for any length of time, he is exuberant and pushy to get his attention. He has started playing with toys and especially loves the noisy ones! He has a timid personality, is scared of the doggie door, but is working on his potty skills. He was found running scared along a busy street with another small dog. It took well over an hour to catch them as they were barking, running scared in and out of traffic, but once they had a slip lead on, it was clear he wanted to be loved. He sleeps well in a kennel overnight, waits patiently for his food to be ready, and doesn't steal food from others. He is the sweetest most gentle little guy and can't wait to show you how much of a difference he can make in your life! Please consider making this gorgeous boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :   Apply Now (almosthomepetrescue.org) $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. Story
My family and I got Sila after my grandma could no longer take care of her. Sila’s really sweet with humans, so we thought that might transfer to her attitude toward other dogs but it didn’t. We tried to do the step by steps of introducing her to our other dog but it was unsuccessful and their relationship is still tense. Sila’s age is unknown by the four vets we’ve taken her to, but it falls under the range of 5-10(it’s probably most likely eight). Because of her age, Sila will get spontaneous bursts of energy where she’ll run around really fast or jump really high which is surprising for her age. In contrast, she’ll also get depleted in her energy for a while and just end up sleeping. We’d like for Sila to have an owner who could run on her schedule and benefit from her clingy dog-kisses. We do let her hop on our furniture so that is a habit of hers, but she’s also used to the dog-wet wipes to clean up any messes she might’ve accumulated on bathroom trips outside.

Story
Carlita is a very sweet dog, she does better with an experienced owner that will be patient with her and does not have other dogs in the home, she is older so it takes her longer to get used to new animals. She used to live with another chihuahua and they did get along so she might be fit for a home with a small dog but we aren't sure. We have owned her since she was 5 years old and we fell in love with her, but we want to find her a home that is more quiet. We do own two large dogs so it tends to be overwhelming for her. She loves belly rubs, gentle head scratches, going on walks, laying in the sun, and being able to lay near her owner.
