Story
Mylo is a 7-year-old, 10lb Chihuahua who was found as a stray. Despite his unknown past, he’s proven to be a calm, cuddle-loving companion who just wants a cozy spot to rest (preferably near his humans). Warning: You’ll need to learn how to do things with one arm as your other will be holding him.Right now, Mylo is still decompressing and adjusting to his new environment. He’s neutral around other dogs—not reactive, but not quite ready to play either. We’re giving him the time he needs to feel safe and show us more of his personality. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
Johnny is a resilient cream/white Chihuahua mix, neutered and weighing a sturdy 17 pounds. Born approximately in May 2021, he's a survivor with a compelling story. Johnny's past wasn't easy; he found himself on the euthanasia list, but fate had better plans for him. In June 2023, Chihuahua Rescue came to his rescue, and it was just in the nick of time. Johnny's early experiences with humans left him wary, as he was trapped and even subjected to a catch-pole. These incidents only deepened his distrust of people, understandably so. However, Johnny does have a glimmer of hope. He may have been afraid, but he showed a promising side by accepting food from certain kind-hearted individuals. Food is his motivation, and it's a crucial tool in his rehabilitation journey. By increasing his dopamine levels through positive interactions and tasty treats, he's slowly but surely on the path to recovery. Johnny's journey to trust and happiness is ongoing. Dogs like him, who have endured rough treatment, need time and patience to heal. While he's not currently available for adoption, with the right care and environment, he has the potential to thrive. It's important to note that Johnny may not be the best fit for households with children or a lot of visitors. He'll need a safe space to retreat to when strangers are around. Keep an eye on his progress and watch as he transforms from a fearful pup to a more confident and loving companion.
