Story
MEET THIS DYNAMIC DUO QUINOA & OAT Hello, I'm Quinoa, the Chihuahua, and I'm Oat, the Terrier. We're a bonded pair of adorable 1 1/2 year old girls looking for a home together. Even though we know it may be hard to find a home together, it would break our hearts to be separated. In our foster home, we get along well with the cats and bigger dogs. If there are kids in the home, older kids would be best and we require a fenced yard. Quinoa: My foster mom says I'm the most lovable little dog in the universe. I enjoy cuddling and snuggling, especially when she calls me "Lovey." I'm a bit more timid than my sister, Oat, and I like staying close to Mom. Playing with my sister is my favorite thing to do, besides cuddling. I'm pretty good at going potty outside, but I don't like it much, so Mom usually carries me out. I weigh 14 lbs. Sometimes, if something startles or scares me, I have some dribbles. But Mom says it's okay, even people have accidents when they're scared. Oat: I'm the more outgoing one between us. I love car rides and adventures! Life, to me, is one big adventure, and I can't wait to start each day. When I'm not exploring, I love being held and carried around. Cuddling with our foster mom in the evenings is the perfect end to my day. I'm doing great with potty training. I can make it outside almost every time. Occasionally, I forget and potty in the house, but I'm trying hard. I'm not a fan of walking on a leash; I'd much rather be carried. At only 10 pounds, I'm pretty easy to carry. My favorite things are playing with my sister and the other dogs, snack time, playing with my toys, and of course, adventuring! We're hoping to find a family that will love us and treat us like the most wonderful beings in the world.

Story
Meet Landy, the 7-year-old chihuahua with a heart as spicy as his personality! Landy may be petite, but he’s big on cuddles and snuggles. This little guy thrives on cozying up with you under the covers—he’s an expert at turning your bed into his personal haven. While Landy’s energy level is more ‘homebody chic’ than ‘marathon runner,’ he’s always up for a good cuddle session or a lazy afternoon nap. Though he’s perfectly happy with a solo spotlight, he’s fine with sharing his space with other dogs, as long as they understand he’s the top dog when it comes to snuggling. Landy’s ideal family is one that appreciates his independence and respects his boundaries. He’s comfortable around teenagers who can give him space and understand that he has strong opinions about being picked up—if it’s not on his terms, it’s best to let him be. If you’re looking for a low-key, affectionate companion who will warm your heart and your bed, Landy is your guy. Come meet him and see how this little chihuahua can bring a world of love into your home! We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $850 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, we inject or give 2-6 months of heartworm preventative, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 25% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Story
This sweet girl is Mama Spice. Spice is looking for forever love, in the form of a mellow and kind family. She is kid-friendly, dog-friendly and cat-tolerant, a perfect fit for most animal lovers! She’s a people-lover to her core, an exceptionally loving girl, looking for her special someone(s) to adore! We believe Spice to be a chihuahua, mini pin mix. Mama Spice is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Spice currently weighs in at a pint-sized 22 pounds, and we estimate her age to be around 2 years old. Fall in love with Mama Spice here: https://youtu.be/sZNGnulEB3U?si=NMxC0fWZnHx1CI87 Spice is a very loving girl, and it’s our favorite thing about her. She loves human affection in any form, she doesn’t mind being picked up and loves to be petted and cuddled. She adores humans of all shapes and sizes, and has done well with children as young as three years old. See her interact with kids for yourself in her video. Spice has lived with children aged 10 and up before, and absolutely loves children. With other dogs, Spice can be a little aloof at first, but once she knows another dog well- it’s game on. She’s a fun loving and rowdy player with her doggy besties, especially the puppies she shares a foster home with. She is dog-friendly and could live with other dogs. With kitties, Spice is simply disinterested. She is cat-tolerant, and we believe she could live with kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video! Mama Spice’s ideal family would be gentle, kind and patient. We recommend a full decompression period for this polite and proper little lady, as new environments can be a bit discombobulating for her. We think she could thrive as an apartment dog, with her quiet, gentle and friendly demeanor. If you have any questions about Mama Spice or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions! Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there!
