Story
Luella was nearly full term in her pregnancy when she was abandoned at a local animal shelter. The shelter contacted us and we quickly sent one of our volunteers to pick her up. Luella spent several weeks in a foster home where she gave birth to two tiny puppies. Her puppies have long since been adopted, however Luella has yet to find her forever home.  This small shy Chihuahua mix prefers the company of women and is fearful of men. Luella would do best in a quiet home with someone that is home most of the day. An independent pup, she just needs to know you are near, not fond of being picked up or cuddled. Give her a good meal and a warm bed and she is perfectly content. Most of her day is spent just following you around the house or taking naps. The perfect roommate, she will listen to your troubles for hours and never complain. Luella is housebroken and enjoys having a fenced-in backyard she can explore. She had access to a doggy door in her foster home and enjoyed the freedom of being able to come and go as she pleased. Luella can be snippy with other dogs, but does do well with cats. If you’re looking for a small quiet companion that is easy to care for, Luella would be a good choice. Don't pass up this sweet, loyal pup.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
GooGoo is a skittish, senior, little lady and takes awhile to warm up. She and 2 of her buddies came to us through no fault of their own, their owners were losing their home. GooGoo is "Bonded" with her best buddy Pokey and they can not be separated. A fenced in yard is required for these 2 seasoned pups, they are not accustomed to being leashed. They would love to find a loving home of their own.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Mork and Mindy are siblings that came into our care recently. They are 2 year old Chihuahuas, and are on the small side, both weighing under 10 pounds. They are already housetrained, and do well in their playgroup with other dogs. Neither one is fond of cats, though. A home with a securely fenced yard is a must for this pair. If you'd like to give this brother and sister a home, come check them out!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
