Story
Ivy is a 5-6 year old, 10 lb girl. She came to us with her two puppies who have since been adopted. Now, it's this mama's turn! Though shy at first, as soon as she warms up, she is your shadow. She just needs patience to get to that point. Ivy is great with other dogs and cats. She is crate-trained and doing well with house-training. She enjoys sleeping in bed and snuggling up right next to you. Ivy enjoys following the other dogs around and learning from them. She is not comfortable on a leash with people she doesn't know and does REQUIRE a fenced in yard. Ivy is pretty quiet in her foster home and very low maintenance. Camilla is a 7 year old, 23 lb Xoloitzcuintli mix with a gentle, soulful personality. She may be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but give her about a week to settle in and you’ll discover a devoted, affectionate companion who will quickly become your loyal shadow. This sweet girl loves the simple things in life, especially lounging on a warm patio, where she’d happily spend all day soaking up the sunshine. While she enjoys being around other dogs and will often follow them as they play, she’s more of an observer than a rough and tumble participant. Camilla is both house-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to a home. She’s extremely food motivated, which can be a great asset for continued training and bonding. She also has a snuggly side and loves curling up with her people once she feels safe and comfortable. Camilla is still gaining confidence on a leash and will REQUIRE a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore at her own pace. She also REQUIRES another dog in the home, as she thrives with a canine companion to help her feel secure. She would do best in an adult only home or with children 16+. With a little patience and a lot of love, Camilla will blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion who will bring quiet joy to her forever home. Once he trusts you, Alec is all in: think couch cuddles, bedtime snuggles, and your new little shadow. He’s crate trained, loves a cozy bed (and cute outfits), and REQUIRES a home with a fenced yard where he can feel safe and relaxed. When he is comfortable with you, he will happily leash walk with you. Alec has another REQUIREMENT: another confident, friendly dog. He truly thrives with a canine buddy and gains confidence from having a companion around. Alec forms a very strong bond with his person and can be a bit protective of that connection, so he does best with a calm, respectful dog and in a home where everyone understands boundaries. A quiet, adult-only home is ideal, and slow introductions to new people will help him feel secure. Give him a little time, and you’ll get a deeply loyal, affectionate best friend.
