Story
Meet Tozi She is a Xolo mix who came from horrible conditions of a backyard breeder in Alabama. She takes a small bit to warm up to new people, holding true to the Xolo breed. So an understanding person is the best fit for her. Once warmed up, she is the sweetest girl there is and has so much love to offer. She does also have some vision impairments but that does not affect her sweet personality once warmed up! Skin care is pretty simple with her and so does loved to be oiled/exfoliated She is Up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, Heartworm Negative and on Heartworm Prevention. She is also- House Trained Crate Trained Great Leash manners after you build a bond with her when it comes to seeing other dogs Has a good handle on Basic Obedience commands Leave-it, and Kennel are pretty solid as well She will be best as an only dog or with someone who has experience with dogs and has a dog her size as she does offer some resource guarding tendencies but can be managed with proper integration. Good with children over 10 years of age who are respectful She also Loves water! If you are interested in fostering, contact us today!!

If you are interested in this dog PLEASE carefully read the bio on the dog below. If you are a match please submit an adoption application at WWW.GADR.ORG. Incomplete applications will not be processed. We reserve the right to deny any application that is deemed unfit or unsuitable for the dog. Please be aware that our animal adoptions are NOT on a first come- first serve basis. Our sole purpose is to find the best possible home for the dogs that fall under our care. Please be patient our rescue consists of all volunteers. Please don't be upset at us if you're not able to adopt. We do our best. We are now accepting applications for our sweet girl Daisy Mae. She has quite a story and has been through so much. We received an urgent plea from a county shelter to save her. Poor Daisy was a stray in a neighborhood for weeks and the saddest part is she was born with luxating patella's aka her knees were out of the joint. It was so painful to watch her even walk when we rescued her. The fact this scared dog was a stray with this deformity broke our heart. Fast forward to today our rescue paid to have very expensive surgery to repair her issue. Now her patella's are in place. Sometimes she does limp or hold her leg up. She probably will always have a limp or walk strange. Daisy is receiving physical therapy and that really helps. She can never jump on couches but she loves her pet beds. Daisy is nervous at first and is a typical chihuahua, fearful at first and then strongly protective and loving. Daisy loves to cuddle on our extra large pet bed we have. She is healthy and loves our foster dad dearly. We are looking for that special perfect family with a fenced in yard and love and empathy for our girl Daisy to give her a forever home. Daisy is estimated to be about 3 years old but we think she's younger. Daisy is a female tri color chihuahua mix. Daisy weighs about 12 lbs. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots, heartworm flea preventatives, dewormed and microchipped! Please only apply if you are willing to be patient and let her decompress. Daisy is the definition of perseverance and hope. We love her so much. Daisy's adoption donation is only 300.00! Are you the one for Daisy Mae? All adoptions include 30 days pet health insurance, dog food, harness, leash and lifetime training tips
