Story
Rufus is a sweet, quirky, cuddly dog — but he needs to be an “only-dog.” He lived with my mom and sister, who both unfortunately died recently. Rufus will be 10 years old in March 2025, but he is quite energetic and weighs 14 pounds. He has a highly treatable heart condition. He is crate-trained but is not 100% housebroken, so frequent walks with a couple of pee pads placed around the house are advisable. He is loving and comical. He can shake on command. He loves taking walks and getting treats. He’s a climber, so all food must be placed well out of his reach. It breaks my heart to part with him, but I know that he will make a happy forever home with another family as an only-dog. 🥹

Story
I adopted Ginger when she was around 6 months old and have had her for almost 8 years. She was born to be an only child. My one-year old loves her, but she does not return the love. She loves to snuggle under the blanket on the couch, chase her tail, and play with small tennis balls. She loves cheese, lick-mats, and bully sticks. She does very well in doggy daycare but is not okay with dogs in her space and is touch-and-go on walks when dogs walk past. In her new home I would love to see her in a child-free home without any other dogs. We both work outside the home and she is able to stay home and sleep from 8am - 5pm so working from home is not a requirement. She's a sweet girl who needs love and attention. I want to make sure we find the right fit for her because she deserves the best life and her anxiety around my son right now is stressing us all (her included) out.
