Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com Meet Cuete, the Quirky Clown Looking for His Forever Family! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, Cuete is your guy! This lovable adult Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless dog) is 37lbs of personality, charm, and quirks. Cuete is the type of dog that will keep you laughing with his funny antics, but he also has a soft, affectionate side that's all about bonding with his humans. Cuete is a bit of an independent spirit and much prefers the company of his people over other dogs. He can coexist with other dogs, but slow, patient introductions are key to his comfort. Cuete does have a tendency to claim his space (and his toys!) and isn’t a fan of sharing, so a home without small children would be ideal. When he's not stealing the spotlight with his antics, Cuete is an expert counter surfer and has no problem hopping over 4ft fences (he’s got some serious jumping skills!). He’s crate trained and mostly potty trained, though he does enjoy letting his voice be heard from time to time—apartment living might require some patience with his barking. Cuete is currently working through some skin issues, and his biopsy has shown a possible autoimmune endocrine condition that may require medication and careful experimentation with diet and soothing remedies. His future family should be understanding and patient as we continue to monitor and treat his condition. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Cuete the love and attention he deserves—and a little space for his quirky personality—he just might be the perfect fit for you! Dogs that state ***RESCUE CENTER*** are available for meet and greets 7 days a week between 11am and 4pm at Lola's Rescue Center located at 22351 E. Meet Nia! She is an easy going little dog. Her ideal day is spent with you on the couch, hanging out and cuddling. She is a sensitive older gal who doesn't like too much excitement or change to her routine. For this reason we recommend she be the only dog in the home (or possibly with one other small, calm older dog) and be in a child free home. She's a very sweet girl, she just needs a calm and consistent household! Despite being uncomfortable with dogs, she is passive with cats and shy but friendly with strangers. If you’re looking for a small 4yo, 9lb, sweet, easy pup then Sweet Cera is it. From her foster: When I was rescued in August I was a scared shaking little mouse. You could barely see me as I scurried quickly under tables and shivered in corners when I saw you. Then I met an amazing foster mom who quickly realized I didn’t know how to dog. She and her pack of little doggies gave me the time, space, and quiet caresses to show me that I could come out at my pace without getting hurt. It has taken me a couple of months to shed my fears. BUT my foster mom now calls me her little hamster who loves to sleep on a pillow next to her and cuddle under the blankets. I know meeting a new forever family is going to be a BIG step for me and I’ll need a slow introduction to my new surroundings BUT I am ready!  What I need now from my forever family: Patience, calm, space, quiet encouragement, puppy pads as a backup, a small furry dog companion to teach me to dog, and a cave of pillows on the couch next to you. Walks aren’t necessary but a secure backyard would be wonderful. No young children, please. Ideally a mature quiet household would be perfect. She enjoys leisurely walks and has a quirky habit of bringing you little treasures she finds, helping remind you to keep things tidy. Her absolute favorite things?
