Learn more hereMeet Xipe, the sweet and endearing pup who’s looking for a loving family to help him build confidence and trust. 1-year-old Xipe might be a bit shy and may initially freeze or cower when approached too quickly. But don’t let that fool you—underneath his reserved exterior is a playful and loving pup who thrives with patience and gentle encouragement. Xipe’s sweet nature shines through once he feels comfortable. He’s incredibly affectionate and finds joy in human company. His strong motivation for treats makes him eager to learn, and he’s already mastered commands like "sit," "leave it," "house," and "couch." He’s also crate trained, which helps him feel secure and at ease in his environment. Living harmoniously in foster with four cats and three other dogs, Xipe is friendly and gets along well with his furry companions. His playful spirit and treat motivation make him an enthusiastic learner and a fun addition to any home. Xipe will do best with another confident, friendly dog in the home to show him the ropes. Potential adopters should be ready to continue Xipe’s socialization journey with consistent positive reinforcement training. With your patience and love, Xipe will flourish into the confident, joyful companion he’s meant to be. Weasel was brought to our shelter on 12/31/24 after being found in Castro Valley. He hasn't been reclaimed by his previous person, so he's now looking for a new home! He has been vaccinated, had recent blood work done, and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Weasel has a cleft palate — he was born this way and so far it does not seem to affect him much. His adoption fee is $35, plus licensing (if applicable), and the cost of his neuter surgery. ## Weasel qualifies for Senior Sunday! - Adoption fees are waived each Sunday for pets aged 7 years and older, sponsored by TVAR! **Meet Bosco Saturday, January 25th from 10 to 1 at Dublin Petsmart west, 6960 Amador Plaza Rd.** Bosco is a sweet 1-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix ready for his forever home! He weighs in at 17 pounds, so he’s the perfect compact size to accompany you on every adventure. In his foster home he has enjoyed the company of the resident pup, and would do great in a home with a doggie friend (he would do fine as a solo pup as well!). Squeaky toys are his favorite, and he’ll happily romp around with a toy in mouth, or engage in a game of fetch. At the end of the day, he loves nothing more than to cuddle up on the couch and watch TV with his humans (and sometimes makes little noises when he hears a dog on TV! Haha) Bosco sleeps quietly in his crate each night, and does well on leash. After only a week with his foster family, he is also perfecting his potty training! He is a little shy and takes a bit of time to warm up, but once he does, you’ll have a companion for life - he is well worth the wait!
