Living harmoniously in foster with four cats and three other dogs, Xipe is friendly and gets along well with his furry companions. Last year, I was contacted by an acquaintance about a Xoloitzcuintli, about 1 years old, needing to be re-homed. The owner was a young woman who lived in a mobile home Estates, worked long shifts and had young children. She could not longer care for this dog. Seeing the health condition of the dog, I decided to take her home with me and took her to the vet the next day. I had noticed that her dew claws were very swollen and infected and she had tape worm. She has had surgery to remove her dew claws, worms have been treated, and she is spayed, along with all of her vaccinations being up to date. She was never house trained and I believe requires professional training, positive reinforcement and patience to work with her on this. Very high energy dog! Very sweet, good with other dogs and has lived with my family (with 3 children of varying ages.)

Foster/Foster to Adopt/Adopt Sweet Eddie is still looking for his happy ever after! Eddie came to us over a year ago from a sad hoarding situation. Eddie spent his whole life in a barn without much human contact or compassion. He has blossomed in his foster home and craves love and attention now. He is still timid and afraid of being picked up but absolutely loves to snuggle with his human on the couch and sleep under the covers of his foster mons bed at night. Eddie does not like loud noises or children. Eddies perfect home would be with an older retired couple or single person that likes to travel and would take Eddie wherever they go. He travels well in the car, but is still afraid of his leash. He has no trouble riding in a pet stroller though! Eddie is house trained but does have occasional accidents. He is neutered microchipped dewormed and up to date on his vaccines including rabies. He had his teeth cleaned and a few extractions when he first arrived. He is about 6 years old now and is ready to fill your heart and home with love! Meet Emmylou, she came to us with her six precious 2 week old babies after spending a week in shelter foster care and no rescues willing to take her with her babies. She has been an amazing mother and now its time for her to find her forever home. Emmylou is a low energy little princess. We think she is about 2-3 years old and she is a tiny little girl under 10 lbs. Emmylou is timid and shy but such a love. Shes happy snuggling on the couch and giving kisses. She is nervous sleeping in a human bed and chooses to sleep on the couch. She gets along with all the dogs in her foster home but high energy dogs make her nervous. She does get along with children but toddlers will be too much for her. Emmylou is spayed, microchipped dewormed and current on vaccines. Meet Vivian! Vivian came to us as a brand new mom with 2 day old puppies. She was very protective of her puppies ant took amazing care of them. They are all grown up now and its time for Vivian to find her happy ever after! Vivian is 2-3 yrs old and weighs 11 pounds. She can be a bit timid and fearful of new situations and people. She is afraid of being outside and we think she never has been out doors before coming to us. She uses pee pads in her foster home but will need encouragement to go outside. She loves to snuggle and is not much of a barker. She gets along with all the dogs in her foster home but can be protective of her food. She could still stand to gain some weight as she came to us very skinny and we have been working on getting her to a healthy weight.
