Story
Hi, my name is Mario and I, along with my 2 siblings, were found as strays and ended up at a high-volume shelter.  A SCP volunteer stepped up to foster us and help us to find our new forever homes. I'm still young, estimated DOB 6/17/2024 and may have some pointer or hound in my ancestry. I'm learning so much now that I'm in a home with kids, other dogs and cats and I love everyone. I love to be held and petted, give kisses, and play until I drop.  I'm just a puppy and can get into a lot of trouble so you'll need to be willing to give me lots of gentle guidance, so I can learn all those big dog things, like how to behave in a house, what a crate is for, how to walk on a leash without pulling, and all those verbal commands every dog should know. I may even treat people like I treat my sibling with rough play or decide that a new pair of shoes or a table leg would make a great chew toy, so a lot of appropriate toys should be in my future. The good news is that with the right training and LOTS of love, I'll be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud. If you are interested in me, please send an email to SCP at scpdogworld@gmail.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if I'll be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco.  Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to SCP for review!  The adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clear Lake Petco, 2410 Bay Area Boulevard. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you just want to meet some great dogs looking for their forever home, please come visit with us on Saturday!November 3, 2024, 11:08 am
