Story
Meet Mac – A Mighty Little Pup We’d like to share the story of a very special pup named Mac (short for Makenzie). Born the runt of her litter with severe limb deformities, Mac was unable to walk and initially given a poor prognosis. But Mac’s story didn’t end there. Thanks to Scout’s Honor Rescue, she was evaluated by the team at Houston Veterinary Specialists, who believed that with corrective surgery on her back legs, she could have a real chance at a happy, active life. Mac proved them right. With her trademark spunk and resilience, she recovered beautifully from major orthopedic surgery. Today, she spends her days chasing lizards in her foster’s backyard and soaking up naps in warm sunbeams. While Mac’s surgery was a great success, her early deformities mean she is more susceptible to injury and already has some arthritis. She will require a bit more advanced veterinary care as she ages. She also may eventually need corrective surgery on her front left leg. That means she really needs an amazing pet parent, someone who will give her the love, care, and medical support she deserves (and fortunately for us, we know quite a few amazing pet parents)! Mac gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, she truly loves everyone she meets. Story
GETS ALONG WITH EVERYONE!  DOB 1/1/24 WEIGHT 16 # Hey there, everyone! I’m Henry, a loving, perky, and adorable tan-and-white Jack Russell Terrier/ Chihuahua mix fella who always puts my best paw forward! Don’t you love the white tip on the end of my tail? I have a sweet, friendly personality that’s good with children, small dogs, and cats. I love to hang out in my foster mom’s lap when she sits on the sofa, where we binge on Animal Planet or Netflix. I was rescued from a Fresno, TX home where I was cruelly kept tied up outside with no protection from the elements. In my opinion, a yard is meant to run and play with toys in, and a home is meant to live and cuddle with hoomans in. Needless to say, I breathed a sigh of relief when I arrived at the safe haven of my foster home! I’m a good boy who’s already crate-trained. Now I’m ready to bring my shining personality and playful antics to my new home. Could that be with you? Arrange to meet me today! My heart has so much love to give – all I need is YOU! HOPE ID D25-1227-0058 Henry’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Henry will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. When it’s time to relax, Biscuit is a pro snuggler and a great independent napper. He enjoys being held, cuddling with other dogs, or curling up quietly in his bed or kennel. Biscuit came into rescue with a skin infection that caused some fur loss, but he’s healing quickly and improving every day. He’s also doing great with potty training and will continue to thrive with positive reinforcement. Biscuit’s Dream Home: A loving home with a playful canine companion who enjoys both fun and cuddle time. If you’re looking for a sweet, cheerful pup to brighten your days, Biscuit is ready to meet you! 🐾💛 Biscuit is a male Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix with an estimated date of birth of 10/3/25.
