We would love to get these girls to MN to find their forever homes! (they are still on the island waiting for their chance to leave! We are currently (September) working on transport off the island for these girls and we could really use a foster home for Bree!

He likes everyone, but is shy and needs time to warm up in new situations. Once comfortable his playful personality really shines through. Toby loves to cuddle and is always eager to please. He will do fine with dog savvy cats.He's generally a quiet laid back guy, but can be vocal when left alone. He's off to a good start with both crate and house training. I’m a shy and timid 4-year-old terrier, and I weigh about 19 pounds. Although I am very shy, I am sweet and gentle when I feel safe, just know that may take time and patience. Right now, I get nervous around loud noises or too much commotion, and I’m still learning to trust the world around me. If you’re patient with me, I promise I’ll warm up and show you how brave I can be. I do need a fenced yard in my forever home as I am not leash trained. I freeze and don’t know what to do! Also, I love having the space in a yard to spend time with the other dogs. I’m crate trained and find comfort in small spaces, like my kennel or the cozy bed in the corner. When it’s time to eat, I’m a bit shy about finishing my food if someone’s watching, but I never leave a bite behind—especially if it’s something yummy like cheese or meats! Oh, and I can’t resist a little wet food or an egg in the morning. I’d feel much more comfortable in a home with another dog, especially a confident one my size who can help me gain some confidence. She needs a little time to warm up to strangers and while she doesn't love to be carried, she does love to snuggle close during down times and at night. Rubia would love a quiet life with someone who spend a lot of time with her. She always looks very sincere and serious. She is a calm and gentle presence. She also LOVES to go on walks and is an excellent walker. She is also mostly potty trained on a schedule as she does have a medical concern going on that they are working on treating that has contributed to some accidents. Rubia is from Texas. This social little scruff is dog-friendly, crate trained, and enjoys a good yard patrol. Though he’s still working on his potty training, Ramyn is a quiet, easy-going companion who warms up quickly to new people. He does well in the car, loves toys, and has a moderate energy level. Ramyn was surrendered into rescue with his buddy Susanna and is now looking for a new home where he can continue to thrive and be loved. If you're looking for a loyal friend who loves his people, Ramyn could be your perfect match! Ramyn  is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 9/21/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program.     Click here     to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments.
