Meet Benny- Your New Best Friend!
Three-year-old Benny, formerly known as Bito, is a scruffy, golden-coated sweetheart looking for a fresh start. This 11-pound cutie came to us as an owner surrender from a loving family in the Bay Area who, despite facing hard times, held onto him as long as they could. When they could no longer house or feed themselves, they made the heartbreaking decision to let him go so he could have the life he deserves.
Benny is friendly with dogs of all sizes and has even been okay with cats so far. He's likely a Cairn Terrier/Shih Tzu mix, making him an adorable, low-shedding companion. While he hasn't had much formal training, he's eager to learn and highly food-motivated, which will make training fun and rewarding.
Despite the uncertainty in his past, Benny remains a happy, affectionate pup who loves people. He seeks out lap time, enjoys soaking up the sun, and would likely thrive on car rides and new adventures. He's ready to experience the world with a family who can give him the stability, love, and training he needs.

If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information.
In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to.

All our dogs undergo comprehensive vetting, including spaying/neutering, microchipping, DHPP, flea treatment, deworming, and Rabies vaccinations. Additional vet care is provided as needed based on their requirements. The adoption fee for this dog is $450 serving as a non-refundable donation. Adoption fees may vary based on factors such as vetting costs, transport, and age.
