Story
Newman is sensitive, watchful, a bit intense, playful with his peers and sensitive to what humans through his way. He's a cool dog, ready for dog savvy folks willing to give him a bit of patience, lots of love, ongoing socialization - he loves other dogs and playtime! He's handsome, frisky and wiry good fun. We also know that Newman is not comfortable around young children and toddlers - so ideally an adult home (not expecting to have children) would be best for Newman. He needs collar and leash work and is a little more independent - he take a little time to warm up to people, but he does and is a sweetheart. Newman is a very good boy: intelligent, sensitive, compliant, and wants to please. He is friendly with people and dogs; he is submissive and avoids trouble, and I think he'd love another dog he could play with. He loves exploring in the yard. He also is perfect crated at night. He readily goes in and sleeps silently all night. He has had no house training mishaps. - Some notes from his foster: From the past few weeks of caring for him, we can confirm that his bio accurately describes him. He's watchful, aware, sensitive, inquisitive, and incredibly sweet. His love language is touch, and he loves a good snuggle and head rub. He is highly intelligent and learns tricks quickly (we've taught him a few tricks -- sit, down, place in his kennel, paw, and stay). He's learned to sit and wait for our cue when we feed him. I noticed that his bio mentions that he's playful. However, I've only seen him play with other Milo dogs at the park near the rescue (I believe it's because he's most comfortable at that park), but when we bring him to other outdoor parks, he doesn't seem interested in other dogs. He's much more interested in sniffing the area, However, he is very attuned to other dogs' energies. He respects other dogs' boundaries (like with our resident dog), and when he's in the mood when other dogs initiate play, he plays along. He would do well in a home that allows him space to roam freely in their home. At night, he sleeps in his crate. We've noticed that he has isolation anxiety when being left alone in a room, but we confirmed that he does not have separation anxiety as we've left him free roaming in our home for a few hours with no issues. - 1/2025 Please apply for Newman if you would like to meet and welcome him into your family.

Story
Gladys is eagerly wanting love and TLC. She is dog friendly and quietly outgoing, wanting to feel safe and get to know loving people who want to include her in everything and keep her happy ad well cared for! Notes from her foster: Gladys (does not respond yet to this name, so you can name her what you like!) is super cute, super responsive, super loving, easygoing, sun loving, belly rub loving, tail wagging delight! She is ready for adoption to a family, kids ok! She definitely needs support and someone sensitive to her needs, like fear of garbage trucks and bins, scary noises like sprinklers, busy places where she is unsure and walking on a leash in unfamiliar places. All she needs is you, her leader and caretaker! She's at a perfect stage if you want to develop the habits that work for you and your family. So far no separation anxiety. She is already crate trained bonded and loving towards humans, good with other dogs

Story
Kirby is a gorgeous 6 yo scruffy terrier mix, with the most beautiful amber eyes. He is approximately 50 lbs and one of the most photogenic dogs we have at Jelly's Place. Kirby is a happy dog who loves to play with squeaky toys, take walks and relax on the couch with his favorite hoomans. He loves to dig for buried treasure and will let you dress him up in costumes for the different holidays. He is smart, walks great on a leash, is food motivated and eager to please. Kirby can be a little nervous when meeting new people. However, once he knows you, he is loving, affectionate and the best company. Kirby is a staff and volunteer favorite. One volunteer has called him "the love of your life kind of dog." The ideal family for Kirby would be a single person or couple, with dog experience. Kirby would make a great walking companion, but he's just as happy to lay at your feet, amuse himself with a toy or just relax until you are ready to take a break. Kirby would prefer to be the only animal in the family, but we don't think that is too much to ask. He has so much love to give and will thrive in the right home! . Kirby is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted. Kirby's adoption fee is sponsored by a Jelly Place's volunteer.
