If you are looking for an adventure buddy with goofy puppy energy, Sprite might be the one for you! This girl has never met a stranger and happily greets people and dogs alike -- she has even been gentle with the few children she's met while out and about. Sprite is a hit at doggy daycare with both canines and staff, who say "she is a bundle of joy".
Walks are Sprite's jam, though maybe we should call them "sniff-aris" instead? She likes to take her time and sniff profusely on familiar routes, then zip along on new paths with her nose stuck to the ground. In addition to being great on the leash, this girl from rural West Virginia has also quickly adjusted to the myriad sounds of the city.
Sprite is an active gal who is also quite the snuggler. She'll happily curl up with you in the evening before heading into her crate for bedtime. Smartie Sprite knows the word "sit" and is eagerly awaiting a forever home where she can learn new words and tricks.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
