Story
This handsome boy was born the first of March to a young and small mama dog that weighed 35 lb. There were eight in the litter and they are all beautiful and sweet but they had to raise themselves. The small farm that they were born on had a young man that stayed on the road doing his music. He had no time for puppies. Fortunately, a very devoted rescue woman who knew of their plight contacted Critter Cavalry and we have been in search of wonderful homes for this litter. Mr Buck is a handsome 6-month-old born the first of March that weighs 22 lb. He is full of them and vigor and love and cuddles. He wants nothing more than to be a part of your life and invite you to make him a part of yours. He is learning crate training and leash walking. He gets along famously with kittend, children, other dogs and any adults that he meets. He's not a shy boy, although he has not experienced a lot in life He still embraces every new thing that comes his way with enthusiasm and interest. He's going to be about a 30 to 35 lb adult boy that is a perfect size for hiking, jogging, condo or apartment lifestyle or even a home with a fenced yard. He is a whippet/ lab mix that will turn heads with his sleek good looks and athletic body. His very handsome face often has a very serious and investigative look on it as he surveys the world and the things that are happening. He often will wear a sweet smile as he enjoys an encounter and conversation with a kind human that is giving him their time and attention. This boy will be an absolute treasure to have in your life. If you're interested in considering an adoption, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 6, 2024, 6:14 pm

Story
Boots is one of those special 6 month old boys that has passed that aggravating and challenging stage of chewing on everything he sees as a young and impetuous puppy.  He is housebroken now at the ripe age of 6 months and weighing 25 pounds.  He is going to be a 30-35 pound adult male Whippet mix that will keep you active and on your toes as he lives life in a most vibrant and happy way.  He loves to cuddle and oh my what a real cuddle bug he is!  Such a sweet natured pup that loves to be near his people and his favorite things in life.  Gentle is a more than appropriate word for Boots. He loves to play and will make you laugh with his fun shenanigans. He runs like a Whippet and has the best spring system in his paws to bounce as he can jump straight up several feet in the air. If you are wanting an agility dog then he could be the one for you!!!   He is competitive for food treats and he wants to PLEASE HIS HUMAN!   He is not a fan of a kennel but he is learning.  It is necessary until he learns NOT to harm a thing in the home when parents are gone.  With a treat going in to the kennel he is fine!!!  Boots is submissive with other dogs and fine with cats.  He is a playful boy with a great nature that is very moldable.  He will learn what type of play the other dogs needs in the current home and he will adjust.  Boots is small, smart and simply the best.  Can you give Boots your heart?   Can you accept the BIG HEART that he has to give YOU!????? If so, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask for an adoption form please! PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 6, 2024, 6:14 pm

Story
Kramer is a happy boy that was born the middle of March to a litter of 10 puppies.   From what we can determine he has Whippet and Lab in him and he is going to be a rather small adult dog when grown, as in 38 pounds tops.  This little guy is built like a sight hound and is fast as the wind when running.  He has a sweet temperament and is gentle and curious.  His best life would be  with a family who will spend lots of time with him and taking him places to enjoy the great outdoors with.  He is not shy really but has been limited with his life outside the backyard experiences.   He is good with other dogs and curious about cats and will chase if they run….all in fun.  He is currently only 23 pounds and not destined to be really very big in stature.  He is a snuggler and he is working on the housebreaking.  He is not currently crated much but we can work on that.  He was raised free style as a puppy in a barn stall with his mom and siblings.  He ran loose on a small patch of acreage in the country.  He is now learning some common dog manners and commands.  A loving puppy that will absorb all that you teach and give him the way of love and attention.  Smart, handsome, and willing to learn, this pup has been around a 4 year old boy and so he is good with the activity level of a small child.  If you are looking for a good puppy with the foundation to  be a fabulous adult companion, then please step up and email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com about our pup Kramer. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.September 6, 2024, 6:14 pm

You must look into this girls big, deep beautiful blue eyes!!!! Visually she's stunning! She's also very sweet, very laid back! Very kind, great with other dogs . Walks nicely on leash great in her kennel. Gentle with children . She's actually quite a remarkable little gem. Low maintenance . Story
Female, 1 yr old, 28 lbs Personality: Goofy/funny, affectionate, energetic, playful, adaptable, smart, easygoing, mischievous, brave, outgoing, snuggler, adventurous, eager to please, and gentle. If you are looking for an adventure buddy with goofy puppy energy, Sprite might be the one for you! This girl has never met a stranger and happily greets people and dogs alike -- she has even been gentle with the few children she's met while out and about. Sprite is a hit at doggy daycare with both canines and staff, who say "she is a bundle of joy". Walks are Sprite's jam, though maybe we should call them "sniff-aris" instead? She likes to take her time and sniff profusely on familiar routes, then zip along on new paths with her nose stuck to the ground. In addition to being great on the leash, this girl from rural West Virginia has also quickly adjusted to the myriad sounds of the city. Sprite is an active gal who is also quite the snuggler. She'll happily curl up with you in the evening before heading into her crate for bedtime. Smartie Sprite knows the word "sit" and is eagerly awaiting a forever home where she can learn new words and tricks. Sprite is waiting for you, so apply today so you can experience the joy of her company! Sprite is sponsored by Dana and Jonathan in honor of Alex and Callie, their senior bonded rescue dogs who gave them so much. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
