Hi there! I'm Carter, and I'm a super sweet 9-year-old whippet who weighs 44 pounds! I'm on the lookout for my forever home because my current owner has to move, and sadly, I can't go with them. Even though I'm a bit older, I have great mobility! I can easily climb up and down stairs and jump in and out of the car like a champ. I'm pretty laid-back and love to explore around the house, but I also enjoy curling up in my cozy crate. I sleep in my crate at night, just in case there's not enough room on your bed for me! I'm used to being home alone for a standard 8-hour workday, so I won't be a bother while you're away. A fenced backyard to play in would be a dream come true! I've lived with kids and cats, and I get along with them just fine! Sometimes I might chase my cat sibling, but it's all in good fun. I'm house-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained, and I'm a pro at car rides, too! Plus, I absolutely love going for walks, so I would be thrilled if my new owner could take me out for some adventures. I might be a little shy when I meet new people, but with lots of love and reassurance, I'll warm up in no time! I'd be happy as an only dog or in a friendly pack, and I adore kids. I promise, I'm one of the easiest-going boys you'll ever meet! I can't wait to find my new family!
