Miel is available for Foster to Adopt! ***Please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form*** As a foster-to-adopt family, you will have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until her new forever family can be found. During your foster-to-adopt trial, you’ll receive the support of a Fetch + Releash mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $200 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $200 will be refunded to you within 30 days of your dog being adopted into a new family provided you see your pup through to adoption. If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit. Foster-to-adopt families will be expected to provide their own supplies. Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies. Miel / Female / 24 lbs / 1.5 year old / Whippet Cross / Could Be Second Dog / No Cats Please / Untested with Kids / Prefers Quieter Home / From Mexico / Fostered in Peterborough ** Follow Miel’s adventures on Instagram: @barkingatthebowl ** Meet Miel! This girl is true to her name, sweet and cuddly and eager to please! Miel previously had a loving family who took care of her and brought her in to be spayed by our partner rescue in Mexico. After the successful operation, her family opted to surrender her to the rescue. She has since made her way to Canada to find her forever family. Miel is a real sweetheart and her fosters describe her as loving, smart, excitable, and eager to please. Her favourite things are cuddling, being close to her people, chewing on stuffies, going on walks and keeping those pesky birds and squirrels in line. She is a true lap dog and always wants to be as close to you as possible. She will slide up onto the couch and give you kisses. She is always happy when her fosters get home and will leap onto the couch for snuggles. She wants to show her good-girl nature and will sit politely to get your attention. Miel bonded quickly with her fosters and is snuggly and loving. She is, however, apprehensive of new people in the home and may bark to indicate she needs space. She can be won over by treats and ignoring her, and giving her time and space. Her forever home will have to keep this in mind and advocate for her space and comfort with any visitors in the home. Miel loves getting out for her walks. She currently gets 3 walks a day for about 20-30 minutes, plus some pee breaks and time to play in the yard. She is a puller on leash because she has a strong prey drive for small critters. Miel can be reactive to people, dogs, and cars and will start barking and trying to chase. Miel’s fosters are working on this and will usually keep her leash short when she is close to a trigger and calm her down using sit-and-down commands. Her forever family should be prepared to work on some leash reactivity with her so she can be supported and learn that outside does not need to be so overwhelming. Miel lives with another dog and they coexist well. Miel finds comfort in his presence but they are not overly playful. She may be more playful with a different dog. She is fed separately from the resident dog as she does guard her food and will growl if he gets too close. She may also guard her people if she is on the couch with them and the other dog approaches. Her fosters are working on this with her. Miel is looking for a home without cats or other small critters as she will chase. Miel has not been tested with children. She would likely bond with children in the home but she would not like a busy home with lots of people going in or out so an adult-only home, or a home with older children who can give her space would be best. Miel currently stays home most days with her dog's foster brother. She is not crated but is kept out of the kitchen and other parts of the house. She stays in the living room with her foster bro and settles quickly. She has only been left alone once and was distraught and vocal. If Miel joins a family as the only dog she will need practice being left alone and would probably not do well being left on her own for a full workday. Miel is a very smart little cookie. She is working on basic training and knows to sit, down, touch, paw, spin, and her name. She is eager to learn and food-motivated so training is really fun. She loves enrichment activities like games and food puzzles. She is working on her leash manners but is otherwise a real dream girl. Miel would do best in a quieter neighbourhood and living with a few devoted people. She is an incredible companion and would love nothing more than to be her loyal and loving self with the right family. If you’re interested in adopting Miel, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Miel’s adoption fee is $250. PLEASE READ BONNIE’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT HE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: SHEE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE OTTAWA, ON AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Bonnie Age: 2 years old Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 35 lbs Location: Ottawa, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Yes - dogs, cats unknown, children 15+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: NONE Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Bonnie has had a difficult life, she was left, abandoned, tied to a pole by her owner, pregnant and alone in Mexico. Bonnie was terrified and wouldn’t let anyone near her but a kind neighbour detached her chain and let her go, however Bonnie kept coming back to the same place, waiting for her owner The rest of the neighbourhood were annoyed by her and began throwing stones at her and beating her. Our sister rescue SOS el Arca had a difficult time catching her but they did and she had 9 puppies, all of whom are now adopted. Bonnie is a very sweet and beautiful dog who loves to cuddle and who has so much love to give. Once she warms up, she is yours forever. She is a shy little girl who will need time to decompress but with time, patience and love Bonnie will be your cherished companion. Bonnie requires a calm environment with someone who has experience with shy dogs and one who will have the patience to go slow with her. A home with a fenced in yard for security is important. Another dog in the home is important for her since it gives her some security and confidence. Teenage children only for Bonnie since small children can make her nervous, since she does have some prey drive no cats for her. She loves being outside and running around with her fur siblings, a boy and a girl and she lives romping in the snow. She is always ready for a walk and to go and explore the hood. Although she is cautious and shy of new people we believe, since she is food driven, treats will help her in this matter. If you feel you would be the right fit for Bonnie, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!

PLEASE READ NERENA’s BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAT SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: SHE IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE BRAMPTON, ON AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Nerena Age: 6+ Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: 40 lbs Location: Brampton, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: No dogs, dog savvy cats, children 8+ Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Nerena is a beautiful girl that is looking for a home of her very own. She is a chill dog who loves to snuggle with her foster mama while watching TV or reading. She loves to be with her person and will follow him/her everywhere. Nerena is fully house trained, does not like the crate but can be free in the home since she is not destructive at all. Watch your counters because she is a great little surfer and loves her food (Mac and cheese is her fave). She definitely needs leash work as she can become wary of dogs and people that approach her. This is a girl that requires patience, love and training. Her ideal home is one with a secure fenced in yard with plenty of room to chill and a place where she can bask in the sun. She is best as an only dog as she can be grumpy when other dogs approach her, She is fine with dog savvy cats as she tends to leave them alone. A mature couple would be ideal adopters as a quiet, loving home would be her dream, a place where she could get all the attention with no other dog to take that from her. She can be vocal so apartments or condos are not for her. She is gentle and sweet and deserves a home of her home where she can get all the love and understanding she requires. If you feel you would be the right fit for Nerena, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) Sweet sensitive Jupiter was recently returned to APM because of some life changes in his previous adopters' lifestyle that this handsome young dog found challenging.  Jupiter is a shy boy who takes time to adjust to new people, places and environments. Even some sounds and sudden movements can startle him. Jupiter is never going to be the life of the party or a dog that you take to loud social events. He enjoys the quiet side of life. Now don't think he doesn't play, you give him a fenced in yard and some dog pals and he can run and frolic with the best of them, he will open up and blossom right before your eyes, he just needs to get to know everyone involved first. Jupiter is a loving, gentle, loving soul who needs a lifestyle where he isn't required to be the belle of the ball, where he can just enjoy his own safe people and routines. Jupiter enjoys going on walks and could be a good jogging partner as long as it isn't in a loud, busy neighbourhood as the sudden noises and busy streets really scare him. Jupiter is a good boy in the house, super quiet and such a cuddle muffin!!! He really enjoys his crate and uses it often when he isn't sure of new things going on... he will choose to just go lay in his crate. Jupiter could be a family dog as long as you have the time to give him to adjust to the new routines and people... he really does love to be with any quiet person who will share a soft hand and some gentle affection. Jupiter has been good with dogs that he meets, but it's the same as new people, he is always nervous at first. We do think having a gentle dog friend could really help Jupiter mover forward to trust a little faster and cats are no issue at all. He has been clean in the home and has no issue with using the back yard to potty or while going for a walk. He actually is very quiet, and doesn’t have " bathroom tells " because of his nerves and not asking he would benefit from regular quiet walks.  Really. this boy is just craving a family or person who has the time to give him, who won't require him to be social all the time and can love him even though he is shy and anti - party. The affection and gratitude Jupiter will bestow would be limitless. If you feel you would be the right fit for Jupiter, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate.
