Ever see 23 lbs of love and happiness to see you? Meet Willow! In her short 13 months on earth, Willow has survived a lifetime of hard knocks. She was found on the side of the road injured, by what is assumed to be a car accident. No owners around and needing help, Willow was picked up by the city pound.... Despite having serious injuries (2 pelvic fractures and a open ankle wound), Willow was so sweet and thankful for help, she won the attention of the staff and a spot on their Facebook page pleading for help for this gem of a gal. Willow is on the timid, submissive side, but warms up very quickly with a few sweet words of encouragement and LOVE. Through bandage changes, cleanings, shots, exams, Willow remains happy and easy going with body wags, you'd never know she has injuries! That being said she is on crate rest and meds for her injuries and is expected to make a full recovery! Yay! She loves people and other dogs and is cautiously curious about cats. In time she will be friends with them too. SO, If you are looking for a loving, happy go lucky dog, look no further. Willow is your sweetheart! Katie is originally from Kentucky, but ended up dumped in Ohio at the seven mile bridge. She had to be trapped because of how terrified she was, and then was taken to animal control before we rescued her. Unfortunately she still does take some time to warm up to strangers. He will need someone that will be home most of the time. He has learned how to stay in a crate but is not happy about it. He does sleep in a crate at night and usually does well. He also identifies as a cat and loves to climb so he can see everything that goes on. He will get things off the counter if left alone. I didn't have a very good start in life and as a result have some separation anxiety but we have been working really hard and I'm really doing so much better. But my ideal home would be where my person works from home. I'm a youngster yet of around a year old and come in at the top end of the small category of about 25lbs. One of 4 in a litter from WV, these babies are super sweet and curious. We believe they are whippet mixes based on momma. Maddie has a slight special need. The vet believes she has occult spina bifida based on xrays done when she was spayed. She has a slight lump on her spine and odd gait. She walks, jumps and is playful. We would like her to go to a home that can ensure she doesn't get jumped on by other dogs or overtly rough housed because she will cry out if another dogs jumps on her back. Spina bifida occulta is a mild type of spina bifida that occurs when the spine doesn't fully form during pregnancy, resulting in a small gap in the spine. It is the most common type of spina bifida and usually doesn't cause disabilities. Adoption Fee: $360 (we have part of her fee donated to bring the initial adoption cost down based on her medical condition) All dogs are up to date on age appropriate shots and microchipped.
