ALBUS was saved and cared for by Muscat Dog Adoption, before sending him with other saved dogs to Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine. They arrived in the US on 28th January 2025 and were transported to the rescue where they are settling in. ALBUS was cleared by the US canine center for diseases upon entry into the US. He is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, weighs around 35 pounds and has an estimated date of birth or 2 July 2022. ALBUS's story is that he and his siblings was saved from a high traffic construction site where many other stray dogs had been killed. They were young puppies and taken to the safety of a wonderful Omani lady who cared for them until they was around 6months at which time he and his siblings were transferred to the Muscat Dog Adoption location. When saved Albus had a lot of damage to his tail that resulted in at least half of it being amputated in February 2023. Two of his siblings came to Give a Dog a Home Rescue back in April 2024, Bellatrix and Myrtle and have since been adopted. Stray dogs in Oman are referred to as "Wadi Dogs" and are a mix of the popular sighthound breeds, specifically thought to be descendents of the majestic Saluki and other smaller breeds, many resembling whippets with their small agile frames. If not saved these dogs are often shot or brutally ran over and left for dead. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. ALBUS is available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550, as noted he is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine and families are required to complete and submit an adoption application and when approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and hopefully take home this sweet boy. HATTIE's story is that she was found as a young pup in a busy tourist area in Muscat where dogs are either shot or run over and left for dead. Sadly her mother and all 5 of her siblings had been shot and she was the only survivor. Hattie was taken to a wonderful Omani lady who cared for along with a lot of other dogs. Whilst she spent most of her time in a large crate where she could stand and stretch and was taken out for bathroom breaks. She only got to go on walks twice a week when volunteers would come and help with the dogs. They arrived in the US on 28th January 2025 and were transported to the rescue where they are settling in. LULA was cleared by the US canine center for diseases upon entry into the US. She is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, weighs around 36 pounds and has an estimated date of birth or 13 July 2022. LULA's story is that she was living as a young pup (around 3 months) in an area with her beautiful mum and siblings. The police, as they do to stray dogs in Oman, shot her mum and siblings. Lula and one of her brothers miraculously survived, however, her brother had a badly broken jaw from being shot and ended up being put to sleep. LULA had severe wounds to both her hind legs and front paw of which the veterinarian believes were done by a human to torture her. Thankfully with medical care and treatment she healed well and was able to go to the Muscat Dog Adoption Rescue where she stayed until she was lucky to be chosen to come to the US. While his lucky brother found his forever home soon after and has been happily living with his family, Saerom was relinquished twice by his first and second families unfortunately. His former families misunderstood his teething as biting and did not like his appearance. He may have been hurt by them, but is growing as a bright pup in his current foster for the past 10 months and has learned socialization to be ready to find his true forever family. We hope he won't get hurt by humans ever again! • 3 keywords: attached to his owner/ active/ smart • Affinity with - Dogs: Generally good around other dogs! He's been behaving at a dog swimming pool or a dog cafe. - Cats: He lived with a kitten once in the current foster home, and he ended up being sweet and taking care of it :) - Kids: When he was a puppy, he lived with two kids (one elementary schooler, one kindergartener) in his previous foster home and liked playing with them. • Housetrained: uses indoor pee-pads placed in a restroom! • Barks/Howls: Only barks at the doorbell sound. • Walking Manners: He tends to pull a little out of excitement at the beginning of a walk but paces with his walker later on. • Energy Level: mid-high since he is still young! • Appetite: He eats anything well! • Car Rides: He has felt slight car sickness for a long time over 20 minutes. Beckma's journey started in South Korea, where he was found on the streets at just two months old in November 2021. While his brother has since found his forever home, Beckma spent his early years in a private shelter with many other dogs. In December 2024, he finally moved into a foster home—and now, he’s patiently waiting for a family of his own! • Personality: Affectionate, Gentle, Calm Beckma is as sweet as they come! He absolutely loves pets and cuddles and has a calm, laid-back nature. Most of the time, he’s happy just relaxing at home, but he does get bursts of playful energy, especially when toys or a ball are involved.
