I came from the most DISMAL situation you can imagine.... born to an unwanted mother, sickly and sad, I was dumped with her as well as one of our sisters dead bodies, like we had no meaning in this world... BUT, LOVE WON OUT!!! I was seen by a kind woman who reached out to another kind woman who reached out to a rescuer in San Antonio- 5 hours away!!! AND we were SAVED! So how is that for a rags to riches story?? It is MY story. I am a happy girl now, I have come SO FAR from the scared, skinny, starving, mangy pup I was, but I haven't reached the finish line YET!! That's where you come in... I am ready for my forever family. We are going to be a little picky, if you don't mind. I prefer a home, with heat and ac, with food and with LOVE. Older kids would be great, I can still be a little nervous with new people (who can blame me?) and I would love another calm, confident dog to help me with my energy. This rare Southern beauty is a Whippet mix and she is named Miss Emma Kate. She is a delicately built 1 year old girl that weighs a light 19 pounds and is beautifully marked with a rich brindle coat of short fur. Car rides are her fav thing to go on and she rides like she has done it all her life. This baby girl is a true cuddler and loves to be around people. She is very good on a leash and is crate trained with no fussing. Emma Kate a very smart girl that is always willing to learn things and to be taught all sorts of commands. She uses the doggie door at her foster home, and mover makes a mess in the house. She is easy going with all the dogs in the foster home and doesn’t make any mess in the house. She is iffy with cats so we are saying that would be a NO. She is spayed , up-to-date on all vaccinations microchip and heartworm negative and has prevention.
