Story
Meet Roxy! An adorable little whippet with the goofiest personality around. She is part of a bonded pair with her littermate Henry, and will need to be homed with him. Roxy does good with dogs and loves to play and run. she adores playing with stuffed toys and has so much fun zooming around with them. She also enjoys her daily walks and has good leash manners. Henry and Roxy are both quite shy around new people and busy environments. But Roxy is the more confident of the two and warms up quickly to new things. She is extremely affectionate and loves to get pets and follow her favorite people around everywhere. Overall she is a fantastic little dog and would do best in a quiet and patient household. * Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. Story
Meet Henry, an adorable little whippet who is simply the sweetest boy. He needs to be homed with his littermate Roxy as they are a bonded pair. Henry is gentle, friendly, affectionate, and very playful. He absolutely loves going on walks and will sometimes get the zoomies from all the excitement. He does well with other dogs and loves to play with his favorite stuffed toys. He is quite a shy around new people (men in particular) and loud/ busy environments and would do best in a quiet home. With plenty of patience and encouragement he is sure to make strides with his anxieties. He is a good eater and is very food motivated. Overall, Henry is a sweet and affectionate dog who wants nothing more than a loving home to call his own. * Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. Story
Welcome Simba to CCPAL Rescue. Simba is a 5.5 month old Whippet/Husky/Shepherd is our best guess. Simba now weighs about 25 pounds and should weigh 30 to 35 pounds full grown. Simba should be a medium sized dog. Simba was in a home and someone was asked to watch him for a week while they were on vacation. The person never came back for Simba. He is good on a leash, good in a crate, good in a car and good with other dogs. He has beautiful blue eyes and wonky ears. They may stand upright at some point but right now they don’t. He is smart, affectionate and willing to take commands and do what you ask. He bonds deeply with his person even if he does like other people he really likes one person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. His personality is very much like a shepherd with the loving nature or the Whippet. He would do best with someone that doesn’t work all day everyday away from home. He will need to finish up his training and he is very social so he would like to go places and be with his favorite human. He is getting his puppy vaccines and will be also getting neutered soon and will be ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ALBUS was saved and cared for by Muscat Dog Adoption, before sending him with other saved dogs to Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine. They arrived in the US on 28th January 2025 and were transported to the rescue where they are settling in. ALBUS was cleared by the US canine center for diseases upon entry into the US. He is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm and tick tested negative, is on monthly preventatives, microchipped, weighs around 35 pounds and has an estimated date of birth or 2 July 2022. ALBUS's story is that he and his siblings was saved from a high traffic construction site where many other stray dogs had been killed. They were young puppies and taken to the safety of a wonderful Omani lady who cared for them until they was around 6months at which time he and his siblings were transferred to the Muscat Dog Adoption location. When saved Albus had a lot of damage to his tail that resulted in at least half of it being amputated in February 2023. Two of his siblings came to Give a Dog a Home Rescue back in April 2024, Bellatrix and Myrtle and have since been adopted.   Stray dogs in Oman are referred to as "Wadi Dogs" and are a mix of the popular sighthound breeds, specifically thought to be descendents of the majestic Saluki and other smaller breeds, many resembling whippets with their small agile frames. If not saved these dogs are often shot or brutally ran over and left for dead. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. ALBUS is available for adoption for an adoption fee of $550, as noted he is located at the rescue in Sebec, Maine and families are required to complete and submit an  adoption application and when approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and hopefully take home this sweet boy. Applications are processed with 24 hours of them being received.
