Preston is bursting to be out of his kennel and with his forever home, family, and yard! His almost desperate excitement is soon quelled by activity and structure. He is motivated to move, to get you to move, and to learn! Once he realizes he’s out of confinement and enjoys a jog in the sunshine, you will appreciate his real self. His Achilles heel is a belly rub - just start rubbing and he’ll be paws up. Can you offer him a home, a spacious yard, and - dream come true - a morning jog? If so, please hurry over and meet him. He is crate trained so pick up a large crate for him to sleep in at night and when you’re away to transition him quicker into home life.

Story
Danny Lee is a whippet mix. He came to us as a crisis response foster when he and his human were living outside in freezing weather. Danny loves other dogs, but despite his petite size is a strong and avid wrestling champion. He does best with dogs that have similar play styles and are good dog communicators. Danny has done really well on housebreaking, but does sometimes backslide when stressed. He needs a home that has a schedule/routine and is ok working with him while he learns he’s safe and home. He’s had a tough background and come so far - and is a complete love. He likes his toys, and giving kisses. He’s one of the fastest runners we’ve seen, and can also jump high. When he’s all done playing likes to sit directly at your side or in your lap. When Danny is excited you’re home, and is ready to go out, he is vocal. He would prefer a family who will make sure his exercise and socializing needs are met, and that has another dog, or will consider adopting him with his best friend. They should be patient and love active and intelligent dogs that need the mind worked with the body. He’s been around all people, all ages, and has done well. We do not know about cats but do not recommend.

Louie is a lovable, 7-year-old bundle of joy who’s ready to fill your life with laughter and cuddles! He’s a master at snuggling and loves nothing more than chasing squirrels in the yard. Louie’s big personality is sure to keep you entertained, and he’s looking for a home where he can enjoy plenty of love and outdoor playtime. He’s house-trained and eager to learn new tricks, though he’s still working on perfecting his leash manners. Louie would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced-in yard where he can stretch his legs and play to his heart’s content. While he’s best suited for a home without small children, Louie’s affectionate nature makes him an ideal companion for someone who has a little patience and lots of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, and snuggly friend, Louie is the one for you!
