HI! I'm Diego! I was brought into the shelter as a stray and no one came to get me. When i showed up i was very very scared and extremely skinny. The nice people here at the shelter are treating me very well, and I have come out of my shell a lot. I love being outside doing "zoomies" and playing with my toys. I am starting to put weight on and I am feeling a lot heathier! I am looking for a home with a family that loves to play and go on adventures with me!

Meet This Beautiful Brindle Girl (Approx. 8 Years Old)This sweet, brindle beauty is a gentle soul with a “wisdom sugar face” and tons of love to give. She has one floppy ear and one pointy ear—truly the best of both worlds!Health & Physical Needs:Appears healthy overall but has a chest tumor and occasional discomfort in her back left leg (possibly arthritis). Doesn`t shed much, has older teeth, and prefers small treats and ice cubes. No indoor accidents, no chewing (except one leash), and she’s respectful of furniture.Personality & Behavior:Affectionate, snuggly, and very people-oriented—she wants to be with you as much as possible. Needs a home where someone is around most of the day. Can be anxious at first and licks a lot, but this improves with time and consistency. Doesn`t bark much (and sounds like a polite old lady when she does). Loves car rides but needs a barrier—she tries to climb into the front seat for cuddles. Likes to dig/hide things occasionally and enjoys treats while you cook.Quirks & Training Needs:Must be leashed unless in a fully fenced, secure yard (she may try to dig out). Not dog/cat/squirrel-friendly; likely best as the only pet. Shows some signs of fear-based reactivity but is not aggressive. Will `love chomp` when excited—soft, harmless, and stops as she gets to know you. Walks well on leash but will chew through non-metal leashes if left unattended. Prefers to poop on walks but has adapted to going in the yard. No counter surfing, but tall enough to try if desperate for attention.Family Life:Great with a 10-year-old special needs child. Unknown with babies. Ideal home would have a screen porch or double-door entry as extra safety.Summary: This girl is a sweet, affectionate, and loyal companion looking for a loving home with structure, patience, and lots of attention. She’s low-maintenance in some ways but definitely thrives with human connection and routine.
