Merit just arrived today, and he’s in desperate need of a groom, so we’re working on getting a volunteer groomer in. He has tons of burrs stuck in his fur. He was found stray and is a little shy and unsure about what’s going on. But he’s SO sweet. He’s about 7 months old and weighs about 17 pounds. He looks like a Wheaten terrier. I’m a bit timid in new situations, but after a few belly rubs and walkies, I’ll warm right up to you. Despite my mysterious background, it is obvious that I came from a home with some structure as I am already crate-trained and potty-trained! My name is Bruno, and I am 1.5 years old, Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix, who weighs about 15 pounds. I found myself in need of rescue along with my siblings, mom and dad, after we weren’t receiving proper care. We arrived at rescue likely never groomed and we all were extremely thin. I can be a little shy at first, as I am still learning how to trust new people and situations, but I come around quickly. I love other dogs, especially ones who play, and would benefit from having a playful friend in my forever home. I am still a puppy at heart, but I am doing very well with potty training and am a good boy in my crate. I am practicing gentle playing with my beds and toys, but sometimes I get a little too excited. When I’m not playing, I love to cuddle and get attention, head scratches are my favorite! I am also an avid squirrel hunter so if you have me, your yard and trees, (I will climb trees to scare those critters away) will be protected! I’m a fun-loving guy who can’t wait for my own forever family! I am neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. My adoption fee is $300.00. Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice. The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption. They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport to most states across the country. To sum it up, Einstein would make a welcome addition to any home provided he receives the care and attention that all dogs require.
