Story
Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617**Due to Magnolia needing spayed, her adoption will not be finalized until on or after: TBDBehavior Profile Color(s): BlueBlue—Has an energetic and boisterous nature.Could she do well with kids? Yes, with children 8 years and older, on a kid-by-kid basis.Could she do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Unknown. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Magnolia did a great job with her behavior assessment. She is a very outgoing, spunky little girl who seems to like everyone she meets. She also enjoys interacting with other dogs. Magnolia does very well coming in and out of her kennel and manages excellently on a leash, although she pulls a tiny bit. When she`s running excitedly, she springs off of you and pushes with her front paws, and she likes to jump up a bit—not a full four-paw jump, but just her front paws.I don’t see any signs of resource guarding, except when you pet her on her head while eating, she slows down to eat. When you remove her food and give it back, she doesn’t care much about it. She doesn`t mind her feet being handled too much, but she does respond excitedly when you play with those areas of her body. She tends to get overly excited, licking and gently mouthing you, and she has a burst of energy, often referred to as `the zoomies.` Magnolia has good manners for a little girl and knows how to sit, stay, and come on cue.---For more resources to help with any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDT
