Meet Finney, a 4-year-old Irish Soft Coated Wheaten, 37lbs., who’s pure energy and joy! This bouncy, excitable pup loves being around other dogs and thrives on human companionship. If you're looking for a super active buddy, Finney is your perfect match—he loves being close to people, playing all day, and has no problem claiming a spot on the furniture! Finney is a smart cookie, already a pro at sitting on command and currently learning “lay down” and other fun tricks. He is kennel trained and knows how to settle down when it’s time for some quiet time. However, when it comes to car rides, Finney gets a little overexcited, so it’s best to keep him safe and secure in a crate during trips. Finney hasn’t been tested with kids or cats, but with his friendly, social nature, he is sure to adapt well to the right home. However, due to his high energy, he can possibly jump and knock children over. If you're ready for a loving, energetic dog who’s always up for some fun, Finney could be your perfect new friend! If you are wanting a easy going, sleepy pal - please keep scrolling. :) When Finney arrived at Lucky 13, he was diagnosed with Ehrlichiosis, a condition that occurs when dogs are bitten by an infected tick. He has received treatment and has experienced no further issues since. If necessary, in the future, certain antibiotics, particularly doxycycline, are highly effective. This treatment is the preferred choice as it is readily available and generally well tolerated. Additionally, Finney has had recurring ear infections and receives cytopoint injections. Finney has been allergy tested and this will be provided to his adopter. Finney will come fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $350.
