Story
Meet Benjamina, an adorable Wheaten Terrier mix who’s ready to steal your heart! Rescued from Lancaster on August 20, she’s a small, friendly 3-year-old who’s brimming with affection. Benjamina is great with both other dogs and cats, making her a perfect addition to a multi-pet household. This little princess loves to be carried like a baby and is learning the ropes of leash training. Although she may not have had much experience on a leash, she’s eager to learn and explore. Benjamina’s sweet and affectionate nature shines through, and she’s sure to bring joy and love to her new family. Saved from a high-kill shelter on the very day she was scheduled to be euthanized, Benjamina is now looking for a forever home where she can be cherished and pampered. If you’re ready to give this loving girl the royal treatment she deserves, Benjamina will be your devoted and loving companion.

Story
Meet Theodore, a sweet 4-year-old Wheaten Terrier mix with a heart full of love once he’s had a chance to warm up! Theodore is a charming boy who can be a bit nippy if his personal space is invaded, so he prefers to approach you on his own terms. While he may initially be defensive if approached too quickly, Theodore is a cuddly companion at heart. Once he feels comfortable and secure, he will eagerly seek out snuggles and affection. He’s good with other dogs and loves to play, though he isn’t fond of cats. Theodore is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can feel safe and cherished. If you’re willing to give him the time he needs to build trust, he’ll reward you with endless love and playful companionship.

Story
Rocket is a sweet Schnauzer mix that we rescued back in 2015 as a puppy - he will turn 10 years old this year. He loves to cuddle with us, and is mainly just a chill guy who wants to hang out and is fine doing nothing. He enjoys being outside, but everything he does he enjoys more when he’s near his adult humans. He loves to be with us. We recently had a child who is now a walking toddler, and for whatever reason, Rocket has not adjusted well to that and has shown to be defensive and aggressive towards him. He has not bitten him, but has growled and made advancements towards him - enough to make us concerned that we don’t want to risk anything. We have made the difficult decision to try to re-home. We want the best situation for all of us, and we think Rocket deserves to be in a home where he can get more attention and be put in less stressful situations (we are recommending a home without small children). Our house is just a little crazy now.

Story
Stella was saved from ACS- the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services euthanasia list. We were happy to bust her out for a new life in Colorado! Stella just recently entered our care so we are still learning more about her... more to come! Notes from ACS: "Dog displayed socialability by coming over for treats and affection with a loose wiggly body and wagging tail. Dog was easy to leash and walk outside to a play yard. Dog came over for affection with a wagging tail while in the play yard. Dog was easy to walk and return to kennel." Stella is now looking to get rescued again- this time by you, her adopter! Once a committed adopter or foster is found, we can schedule Stella on the next transport so she can put San Antonio, Texas in her rearview and head to Denver, Colorado! ##2282108##
