Story
We got her right before Covid happened and we were all forced to stay inside. She is used to being the only dog and is not used to having to share the love with a small child/baby. Surprises everyone she meets with her intelligence but gets extremely jealous. Very good dog, low energy, barks only at the front door, has never bit anyone but likes to “correct” other dogs. She began acting weird when I got pregnant and started refusing to go to the bathroom outside-only inside once the baby was born. Baby is now almost a year old (we tried EVERYTHING to introduce them and make them get along) and the dog wants nothing to do with the baby. Swats her hand away with her paw when she tries to pet her, barks at the baby when Mom or Dad tells the baby “no”. Growls at baby when she crawls near her( dog never previously growled except rarely at other stranger dogs) and I can’t have my baby growing up being scared of dogs, or having to tell her to stay away constantly from the dog.
