Story
4 months old Freya is only 8 lb at the moment and may not grow more than 15. She is located in Texas but can be transported to other states and even Canada to the right home. She is treated like a Princess at her foster home, where she sleeps with her 7 year old foster sister. Start your application to adopt this princess via www.savesomesouls.com Freya and her sister Frida were found by a busy freeway with their mother Fiona by a Good Samaritan who saved their lives. She looked for their home but after 2 weeks when no one claimed them, she surrendered them to our rescue. Freya is very loving and super adorable. She is quiet and patient, and is crate trained and housebroken. Freya lives with her foster brother Buster (see picture), and four kitty foster siblings. She is current on all her shots. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventative. Freya's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelters, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and the shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
MacTavish is a very sweet and engaging 12 week old West Highland terrier who came to us from a puppy mill. He settled into our home quickly and is friendly with people and other dogs. He has become fast friends and tussle buddies with our seven month old Maltese mix    He’s an energetic and friendly pup with a big confident personality. He loves toys, playing tug with his buddy, and romping in the snow. MacTavish’s leash skills are progressing positively and he is attentive and compliant with some commands that are accompanied by treats. Housetraining is also coming along well and he often cues to go outside. He’s an intelligent little guy and a fast learner.   MacTavish is currently being fed Royal Canin puppy food. He is eager for his meals exhibiting a voracious appetite and tending to eat quickly. He is protective of his food and guards it from the other dog, but not from people    MacTavish has a large bald spot on his head and his tummy and front armpits are also hairless. This is currently being investigated and treated (it may be genetic as the millers also had Chinese Crested dogs). He is also being treated for an eye infection and dry eye condition. He is responding well to this medication and his eyes are much brighter and more clear. He has received the first of his vaccines.   MacTavish sleeps well in his crate. He shows no signs of anxiety when left alone for a couple of hours and is not destructive.January 24, 2026, 1:58 pm

Story
Hello, let me introduce myself 🤍 I’m a 3-year-old White Terrier mix girl, weighing about 7kg (15 lb)—small, gentle, and precious. I was rescued just moments before euthanasia at a shelter, and thanks to that second chance, I’m now safe, healthy, and learning what love truly feels like. After leaving the shelter, I completed my heartworm treatment, and I’m now in great condition with a healthy appetite. Despite my small size, I absolutely love people, and I get along well with other dogs too. In new places, I may feel a little shy at first. But it doesn’t take long for me to open my heart— soon, I’ll walk up to you on my own, wagging my tail and asking for affection. I enjoy walks, and once I feel comfortable, I love to run and play happily. I’m especially affectionate with people, the kind of dog who naturally brings a smile just by being nearby. Home life may still be new to me. If I meet my forever family, I’ll need to learn things like potty training step by step. But I’m very gentle and eager to please, so with love and patience, I promise I’ll do my very best. I’m also incredibly calm— you’ll hardly ever hear me bark. I may be small and delicate, but I’m ready to meet my family, to be loved for a lifetime, and to live a truly happy life. I’m ready to be held, ready to be cherished, ready to become someone’s most precious part of the world 🤍
