THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Wicket is a very loving, sweet and shy girl. She loves pets, giving kisses and lots of lap time. She’ll do best in a calm home with someone who is home most of the day. She does not like to be crated or to be left alone for long. Wicket does a sleep in a crate at night, but she’s elevated next to our bed and laying right next to us. She will sleep through the night without a peep. She loves other dogs except during eating time and when it comes to playing with toys ( we also have a dog that likes to steal toys) so, we just feed her separately from our dogs and supervise toy time. She loves to be outside to sniff around and she loves to follow her foster siblings around. She’s doing really well with potty training and she needs to be kept on a potty schedule for continued success. The perfect home would be where someone can give her the love and attention she needs/wants and someone who has experience and patience with rescue dogs. She would do well with other dogs in the home (with eating alone and toys with training/supervision) or as an only dog. Wicket a sweet girl who just wants to be loved! The suggested adoption donation for Wicket is a minimum of $400 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information

Story
THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Opal is a purebred Cairn Terrier who has recently retired from a commercial breeding facility and is seeking a loving, forever home. As she is still learning the ropes of living indoors, house training, etc.the ideal home for Opal will have someone home a lot, or a family with rotating schedules, to keep her on a routine and consistent potty schedule. As she is still shy and frightened by loud noises and sudden movements, a calm environment will help her to gain confidence. She is still not bold enough to walk, or potty while on a leash, a securely fenced yard will be required in addition to a resident dog for companionship and to model appropriate canine behavior. Opal enjoys being part of a pack and included in family activities.  She is thriving with routine and structure, but being nearby is what she wants most.  She loves squeaky toys over the harder material ones and will wear them out.   The suggested adoption donation for Opal is a minimum of $500 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit.
