Story
Chip is in the running for the best little companion you’ve ever seen! This handsome gentleman sure is a cute face but that alone isn’t all he has to offer! He is a smart family man with manners, has a wonderful personality, a gentle demeanor, and is one fun-loving and friendly guy. Chip sure looks like a Westie meets a Cairn Terrier but in rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age given we do not know their history. Weighing in at a perfectly petite 27 lbs and estimated to be 1 year old, he is 100% dreamy bestie material. I can see him living his best life as a family guy, greeting the neighbors on walks and working the room during backyard get togethers, always wrapping the night up with cozy couch snuggles. Thanks to his size and leash manners, Chip is suited for a variety of different homes whether it’s an apartment in the city or a home in the suburbs. He can occasionally get “chatty” but it is very contained and seems to only be directed at his people, take a look at it in his Get to know Chip video to see his quiet and contained voice. Wherever his next chapter takes him we know he will have your heart and quickly become a favorite among friends and neighbors. We introduced Chip to a handful of dogs and he is a friendly but not the playful canine-companion type. This could change with the right companion and even though he wont initiate the play, he is happy to jump in and out. The truth is, he is so people centered, he could easily live in a home with other dogs but he does not need a canine companion to feel complete- just his people. No feline companions for him though, blame the terrier in him but from what we could see he would likely chase a cat for some good fun and we know that is unwelcome chaos. This boy is an easy breezy, sweet little guy and lucky for you he is looking for a fur-ever home. Adopt Chip today and get ready to live a dreamy life together! He cannot wait to have a person of his own at the other end of the leash and we sure hope its you! If you have any questions about Chip or would like us to test him for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Questions? Email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
MEET THIS DYNAMIC DUO QUINOA & OAT Hello, I'm Quinoa, the Chihuahua, and I'm Oat, the Terrier. We're a bonded pair of adorable 10-month-old girls looking for a home together. Even though we know it may be hard to find a home together, it would break our hearts to be separated. In our foster home, we get along well with the cats and bigger dogs. If there are kids in the home, older kids would be best and we require a fenced yard. Quinoa: My foster mom says I'm the most lovable little dog in the universe. I enjoy cuddling and snuggling, especially when she calls me "Lovey." I'm a bit more timid than my sister, Oat, and I like staying close to Mom. Playing with my sister is my favorite thing to do, besides cuddling. I'm pretty good at going potty outside, but I don't like it much, so Mom usually carries me out. I weigh 14 lbs. Sometimes, if something startles or scares me, I have some dribbles. But Mom says it's okay, even people have accidents when they're scared. Oat: I'm the more outgoing one between us. I love car rides and adventures! Life, to me, is one big adventure, and I can't wait to start each day. When I'm not exploring, I love being held and carried around. Cuddling with our foster mom in the evenings is the perfect end to my day. I'm doing great with potty training. I can make it outside almost every time. Occasionally, I forget and potty in the house, but I'm trying hard. I'm not a fan of walking on a leash; I'd much rather be carried. At only 10 pounds, I'm pretty easy to carry. My favorite things are playing with my sister and the other dogs, snack time, playing with my toys, and of course, adventuring! We're hoping to find a family that will love us and treat us like the most wonderful beings in the world.
