Story
Meet Honey! Honey is a 6 month old Scottish Terrier/German Shepherd cross, searching for her forever home. Honey is a lively and energetic pup who is always ready for an adventure! With a playful spirit and boundless enthusiasm, she is the perfect companion for an active family looking to add a burst of joy and excitement to their lives. This spirited little pup loves to run, jump, and explore. Honey is eager to learn new tricks and games, she is a highly, highly intelligent and trainable dog. She is at the age where training and routine are critical, so she needs the consistency, patience and love of her new guardian to show her the ways of developing into a mature and fulfilled adult dog. Adopters are encouraged to attend puppy obedience classes, but the basics are a must - leash training, socializing with people and other dogs, and, of course, house training. Honey is currently working on her jumpy and mouthy behaviour, which will need some ongoing training. Because she has not yet learned boundaries with people, she would not be suitable for a home with young children.Honey won't be a puppy forever, and as she grows, there are some important things to keep in mind about her breed. Honey is presumed to be a Scottish Terrier/German Shepherd mix, however we cannot guarantee this is 100% accurate without a DNA test. Scottish terriers are independent, confident companions. They are eager to work, and they love to learn and develop their talents. German Shepherds are highly intelligent and energetic working dogs. They love to have a sense of purpose, and need a high amount of physical exercise to live a content, healthy life. Both of these breeds tend to be more high maintenance when it comes to grooming. If you're looking for a fun-loving, rambunctious friend to keep you on your toes, Honey is the perfect match! **We are accepting applications, and are looking for a Foster-to-Adopt home while she awaits her spay surgery - scheduled for Oct 4th. **If you think Honey could be a good fit for you, please fill out an application below.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kamloops/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 20.6 Age: 0yrs 6mths 1wks
