Story
If I have an approved home, I can come on Nov 19. Hello sweet people of Canada. I'm Quail. Here is some info about me:Breed: Welsh Springer Spaniel/Brittany mixAge: 3-1/2 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 16 kgHeight: 46 cm This little girl is affectionate. Hoping you like receiving my starry eyed attentions.Found on the streets of Turkey, my rescuers quickly saved me. Ot is quite possible I was dumped. Sadly this happens a lot here, when we outgrow being a tiny puppy or a family just tires of having a dog.Being the confident type, I am always up for an adventure. In fact adventurous is my middle name. I am also pretty athletic as well as playful, so hoping you are the active type. Hiking, paddle boarding, swimming, sailing, whatever, bring it on... let's give it a go. I get along fine with other pups. People are a-ok too. The more, the merrier to accept my affections. No idea about the kitty type, but since my breeds are the hunting type, might be better to bypass having one in the home. I should be good with older kids, but being I have an upper level energy battery, little kids might get bumped around unknowingly by me. https://youtu.be/7y1yjfopUwE.Can't wait to get to you. Energy Level: HighPrey drive: None observed, but possibly due to my breed. My adopter should be prepared to help train me should this arise. More vids on the way. Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.I get along with:Dogs: YesCats: Unknown          Kids: Unknown Training:Leash skills: very little. Please be prepared to provide me sone solid training.House trained: No. Please help me learn! Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2213767##

Story
URGENT! Due to a new law enacted in my country, the rescuers can't retain the refuge, so dogs need homes before the end of the year. Please help. Hello! My name is QUEENIE. Here is some info about me:Breed: English SetterAge: 12 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 60 lbs (27 kg)Height: 23-1/2 inches (60 cm)Country of Origin: Republic of GeorgiaHighlights: obedient, bit anxious, tentative, inquisitive, devoted I'm a very devoted girl and am ready for a loving home! Could that be you? Read below to see if we're a good match! My rescuers heard my cries for help one day. They found me chained to a broken doghouse, I had no food or water. It was very hot and I had no shade. I was in a desperate situation, one might say. My current owner at the time had decided to cover me in motor oil as well, under the belief that it would get rid of mange. Fortunately, my rescuers took me home with them where they helped clean the oil off of me. My eyes were red and swollen, the smell of the oil was awful and was hard on my sensitive skin and nose.My previous owner had me chained up outside for most of my life, and saw me as an outside dog year around. I was allowed to accompany them on hunting trips, but apart from that, I was sentenced to a life chained up in a yard.Although I am 12, my previous owner still used me for breeding, doing so every 6 months to sell my pups. Fortunately my rescuers got me fixed to protect my health. When they brought me home, I was stiff from being chained up all the time. I was in a new environment and isolated myself from the other dogs in the home. My rescuer says I am good with dogs, I just needed some time to recover from my previous situation, so can be a little tentative at first. All this to say, I am very much ready for a loving home! I seek companionship, I want to accompany you on your errands, walks, adventures, and cuddles. I’m looking for a safe home, I promise to be very loyal, I will wait for you to return from the store, but I can get a bit vocal when anxious. I am very obedient off leash! I just want to be with a caring and compassionate owner. Also, being an inquisitive girl, I like to watch what you are doing. Maybe you can show me some tricks. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks, btw.Given my age, I no longer have the puppy zoomies, I have a low to moderate energy level. I would do best in a home that can meet all my needs (food, water, shelter, a dog bed inside perhaps?!?). I would be happy to hang with you while you watch tv, but would also love to come for walks and errands. Energy level: moderate-lowI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: UnsureKids: Yes Prey drive: Unknown. Adopter should to be willing to seek out training assistance should such issues arise.Fears: I was mistreated by my previous owner when they were intoxicated. Intoxicated behaviour triggers my fear. I lacked food and water in my previous home and my rescuer notes that I have been guarding my food. If there are other dogs around, please feed us separately. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: house and leash manners, very well behaved off leash (once bonded.) Bonus Points!Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health Notes:I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and in good health. My adoption fee is $600.00 plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.
