Story
Layla Jean is available for adoption! I have fostered her for about a month and she is now ready to find her forever home. Layla is about 5 years old; and is very sweet and energetic with no known medical issues. Layla has separation anxiety and would do very well in an active home with fur friends. She gets along amazingly well with my four other dogs and has no problem taking correction from the pack leader. She has been cat and kid tested - and tolerates both. She is currently free feeding and does not over eat and shows no signs of treat or food aggression. She loves tug of war, and chewing on her chew toys. She is house broken and does not seem interested in destroying my furniture. We are working on her manners - she does bark at people when they come to the door, recall needs to be worked on, and she jumps up to greet people. Biggest (and only complaint) is she steals the covers! Like literally, she climbs into bed, burrows under the covers and steals them.

Story
Say Howdy to Daryl and Jessie! Their owner had to surrender them after an unexpected medical condition left him unable to care for them.  This bonded pair are only a year apart, and have been raised together since puppyhood so we really want to keep them together! He’s a little bit country and she’s a little bit rock-n-roll, but they go together like peas and carrots!  Daryl is a laid-back, handsome brindle with a sweet, calm demeanor, and gives the best dog hugs ever! The true hound that he is, he loves long walks with his nose to the ground or in the air to make sure those pesky squirrels stay up in the trees.  But don’t let him fool you, he has a funny, mischievous side as well.  If his nose can reach it, his mouth can eat it, but only when you’re not looking.   While Daryl is happy moseying along, Jessie’s ready to put the pedal to the metal.   She puts the “sass” in sassafras!   When this girl gets excited, clear the floor, ‘cause she likes to dance like no one’s watching!  This little fashionista somehow matched her eyes to her coat, she’s a real beauty!  But there’s nothing she loves more than snuggling up with you on the couch.  That is, once you move her over an inch and squeeze in beside her.  She’s not giving up her spot easily! They may be polar opposites, but they agree that they are looking for somebody with a lot of love to give…and treats(bones)…and cuddles…and belly/butt rubs and, oh yeah, a big yard would be great because, well, they’re not the best on leash, but they’re getting better!   December 2, 2024, 4:04 pm

Story
Meet Fiona! She was a past graduate in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer. Fiona is still a young pup learning the way of the world. Once she knows you, you'll have a friend for life. She's kind hearted and likes to play, but also is ok lying around and relaxing inside with you. We don't think Fiona's ever had a bad day in her life. She's always smiling. Fiona plays really well with other dogs. She'll start to play once she feels comfortable. She does well in his crate, and seems completely house broken. She walks best using a Gentle Leader. Before she went to PACK, Fiona lived with cats. She may want them to be a playmate, but is nice to them. This smiling young girl is looking for a new home. Will yu be her new family? Apply to meet her today!

Story
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT *** Meet Coco! She is a brand new graduate of our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and she is ready to show off her new skills! Her new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent. Coco is still a very young and free spirited gal. She is learning self control and getting better every day. She was a bit leary of new people before she went to PACK, but she is doing better! She can still be a little leary at first, so we suggest a home with no small kids. She likes playing with the other dogs in PACK. She may need a couple days to feel ok around new dogs, but once she does she's a play monster! In past foster homes, Coco has done well with cats. She may need a gentle reminder that they don't want to play and be chased, but overall does well with them. She is kennel trained as well as house trained. Coco goes on walks and even a mile run with her handler. She may like to be a running partner for someone. If you're looking for a young and energetic dog, apply to meet Coco today!
