Story
Adorable Abby - a loving 7 year-old Weimaraner with a soulful past and eyes that tell tales. Born into a life of breeding in Mexico, Abby's initial years weren't filled with the love and warmth that every dog deserves. Abby's striking appearance, with those profound, beautiful eyes, stands in contrast to the cruelty she once endured. Now healthy, spayed, vaccinated and at a comfortable 68 lbs, Abby has began a new chapter - one of second chances, and hope. Now, amidst her canine siblings and doting foster, Abby is steadily learning what it means to be cherished. But with memories of her past still echoing, Abby would thrive best in an adult-only home where the rhythms of life are gentle, and full of love and understanding. Abby's simple joys? Feeling the warmth of a hug, being spoiled with love, and of course, her bedtime ritual. As night falls, Abby finds comfort wrapped under her blanket, feeling secure and loved. Abby has gained so much confidence, is excellent on a leash and loves her daily walks through the countryside or nearby park in the evening. If you are looking for a steady four legged partner in life - filled with whispered conversations, cozy cuddles, and soulful gazes, consider opening your heart and home to Abby. She awaits a forever home, where the echoes of her past are replaced with love and warmth. To apply: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PCRR/Dog #AbbysNewBeginnings #HopeInHerEyes #SecondChancesMatter Pacific Rim Rescue will transport Abby anywhere in the United States via one of our board members - to the right adoptive home. Though, if there is a wonderful, kind and compassionate adopter or foster in Vancouver/British Columbia or Alberta, Canada or Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, California or Nevada - even better!

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

These pups are in Shoreline, Washington too!

Story
HI - I'M LUKE. I'm Luke, a happy 3-year-old Pointer/Boxer mix in need of a forever home. I am losing my home soon because my owner died. I'm currently in the Greater Seattle area. I have beautiful, soulful eyes and a handsome face. I do great with other dogs, and love to fetch balls and bring them back to you. I don't bark much, unless someone barks at me. I walk nicely on a leash, though I'm quite strong, so could use a strong owner. I don't shed much either! I love treats and am an all-around great dog to have around. I was rescued from a California shelter after I became urgent due to lack of space. While there, I was kenneled with another female dog and did great. I've been tested with several dogs and have done well with everyone. I love people and am an easy-going boy. My only fault? I do not like cats, so would do best in a home without them! I weigh about 52 lbs. Can you adopt me?

Get ready to meet the one and only Pigglet—a bundle of pure joy and fluff! This delightful furball is a cuddle expert, dishing out snuggles and kisses like it’s her full-time job. Pigglet is a social butterfly, loving every human and dog she meets. When she’s not busy melting hearts, she’s mastering the art of playtime, her absolute favorite activity! Plus, she’s already crate trained, so she’s pretty much a furry angel. Don’t miss your chance to bring this four-legged joy machine into your life! Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home. Many never even had a home and were born on the streets. WE gave them a chance. Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for. We believe in our local and out of state applicants. There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks. You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them. No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you! Thank you for considering adopting and not shop. Story
Meet Sweet Kermit! Once the tiniest of his litter, Kermit has grown into a bundle of joy you can’t resist. This playful and energetic pup is not only adorable but incredibly smart. He's already crate trained and housebroken, making him a breeze to care for. Kermit’s favorite pastime? Splashing around in the puppy pool and having a blast with his foster brothers. He absolutely adores people and is sure to bring endless love and fun to any family lucky enough to welcome him home. There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest & East Coast every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest, the East Coast or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you can see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets has been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animal travel has been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##2075999##
