Story
Miller is a beautiful 3 year old Weimeraner mix with a friendly and active personality. I adopted this dog from the Lubbock animal shelter my sophomore year of college, and he has become my best friend since. Unfortunately now that I graduated and am working full time, I struggle to find the time to give this dog the attention he deserves. Miller is house trained, knows basic commands, and is not a barker (except for the occasional mailman). He loves playing with other dogs, and does excellent with cats and young children. Miller has a lot of energy and a strong hunting instinct. He requires 2-3 hours of exercise a day, whether it’s walking/running or playing with other dogs. Once he has been exercised, he loves to cuddle on the couch or sleep for the rest of the day. I am looking to re-home Miller to a family that has the time and willingness to give him the attention he deserves. This would be a great family dog for a young and active family.   Hunter is a 50 lbs bundle of love and is about 1.5 years old.  He LOVES his humans and just wants to please you and make you happy. He was found in an industrial area begging for food. He would be best as an only dog and in a home with older children.  Donate at codysfriendsrescue.org to help us save more lives! https://codysfriendsrescue.org/donate ##837585##

Story
Howdy I’m Sophie My dad died suddenly and my sister and I were left to fend for ourselves until someone came to help and realized we needed help too. It was a scary few weeks but we are both safe now and hoping to find someone to love us as much as our dad did.  I’m past all those youngster shenanigans and love to cuddle, hang out with friends and spend time in the sunshine. Walks would be great and I won’t complain if you have treats to share. If you are a Weim lover you already know that we get better as we age! Falling for me... Discover Bee: Our Gentle Soul in a World of Constant Wonder Bee has a heart full of love and a touch of quirk Loves: Predictable routines, the companionship of other dogs, her special selection of toys, and the serenity of a peaceful environment. A Little Shy: With new experiences and loud noises. Bee's Unique Journey - Living in a Familiar Yet Ever-New World: Like the captivating story of "50 First Dates," Bee's life is a beautiful blend of comforting routine and gentle discovery. Her soft, expressive eyes tell a tale of a loving soul who finds joy in the familiar and navigates the new with cautious curiosity. Bee's Daily Adventures: Each day for Bee is a quiet journey through well-loved paths. She finds solace in the predictability of her daily routines, from sunlit morning play to evening snuggles. The company of other dogs is always a delight, as she engages with a shy but genuine playfulness. Her toys, though few, are cherished companions in her tranquil world. Bee's Gentle Approach to Life: While Bee may tread carefully around new experiences and prefers the quietude of her environment, her approach to life is a lesson in finding beauty in simplicity. She reminds us that there's comfort in routine, and even in a familiar world, there's always something new to cherish. Bee’s Playful Side: In the safety of her known surroundings, Bee's playful nature emerges. She might cautiously approach a toy as if it's a new discovery each day, bringing a smile to those who know her well. Bee’s Philosophy: "Life doesn't have to be loud to be full of joy. In the whispers of the familiar, in the quiet play with friends, and in the gentle discovery of everyday things, there's a world of wonder waiting to be appreciated."Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
Meet JuneBug (formerly Kimber), a charming 4-year-old, 55-pound, Weimaraner with a heart full of love and a personality that's sure to steal yours. This lovely lady is the epitome of a velcro dog, always eager to lie at your feet and keep you company as you work from home. She does display hip dysplasia and can do the splits better than any cheerleader! She is crate-trained (although some separation anxiety) and walks wonderfully on a leash. She enjoys doing check-ins with you during walks, adding a touch of sweetness to your daily strolls. Her hip dysplasia gives her a unique little hop when she walks or runs, making her even more endearing. Initially a bit skittish around men, JuneBug has blossomed into a calm and sweet companion who adores her people. She has grown to love her walks and gets excited when it's time to go out, making every outing a joyful experience. JuneBug is great with other dogs and kids, making her a fantastic addition to a family. While we are unsure of cats, her gentle nature suggests she could adapt with time and patience. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate friend who will always be by your side, JuneBug is the perfect match for you. She is being fostered in the DFW metroplex if you are interested. ##1972759##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I'm so proud! I passed my interview with flying colors, and I am now welcome to attend day or overnight care at Camp BowWow! My name is Xolo (pronounced Zolo), I'm almost 2 years old and weigh 78 lbs. Guesses are that my breed is Catahoula mix, but who knows? I'm looking for a family with room in their lives and home for a big boy. My foster dad says I'm a goofball, but I think I just like to have fun. The good thing is I have all the cool skills down. I am crate trained when my foster family is gone, I know to do my business outside and I sleep well through the night in their room. I would prefer to sleep on the bed with them, but so far they haven't been willing to let me up there. I'll keep trying. I walk pretty well on a leash, but I am strong so I'll need my new people to help me continue to learn to walk nicely by their side. If my new home has another dog, a nice female dog friend would be preferred. I would also do just fine as an only dog. I sometimes have a rowdy play style, but I just need to be reminded to settle down. At the end of the day, I am incredibly loving, surprisingly gentle, and I will become your true best friend. I need the right home to accommodate a dog with a booty and personality of my size. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

German Shorthaired Pointer Mixed Breed (Medium)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Dunlin is a 2 year old, 50 lb German Shorthair Pointer mix that came to Humane Tomorrow from Florida during Hurricane Milton evacuations. This beautiful girl has a sweet temperament, along with a lot of energy. Dunlin loves running around outside, but she also has her chill side when she enjoys hanging out on the couch. Her most favorite thing is just being where her people are. She will actually sit with them and watch TV. She still likes to chew and will need durable chew toys. Dunlin is smart and already knows the sit, lay down, stay, and shake commands. She is potty pad trained and close to being totally potty trained. She is still getting used to her crate and making progress. She gets along with other dogs and should do well with kids over the age of 10. Dunlin can jump really high, especially when she sees a bird, so she needs a yard with at least a secure 6' fence (and no pet birds!). Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.
